To be fair Alf, to a lot on this forum JFK will only really be known as the airport in New York. It was a long time ago so very few will have much knowledge or opinions on it. Lee Harvey Oswald was obviously a scapegoat and I think it was an inside job, but beyond that I have no idea as to the who's and why's

people used to get assassinated regularly or at least assassination attempts. It was the way it was in america. They didn't need to be inside jobs because there was always some nutter available to do the deed. The only reason it happens less these days is because there is much better protection

True, assassination attempts became semi-regular after Lincoln I guess it put the idea in people's heads) and then there were several unsuccessful assassination attempts, and three more successful assassinations, within 100 years. Since JFK there have been none because that's when they massively increased security; you'd never see a POTUS riding down a busy street in an open-topped car these days.

As for why JFK was assassinated, I certainly don't think we know the real or full reasons but yes most likely he had something big on someone powerful and was indicating that he was going to release that information. I don't know about "exposing the deep state". Most sensible assumption would be that it was Cold War related - though not necessarily the Russians themselves.

There's absolutely nowt in them that's particularly interesting or new. Anyone claiming there's been any "bombshell" conspiracy revelations from what's been released is straight up lying :joker:.

The only thing that's really been revealed: Oswald was a Person Of Interest for the CIA for longer than had been revealed. The theory about a second gunman being present is viable - but unconfirmed.
