The whole thing has just exposed her lies and the manipulation we know she is capable of. Its a shallow win for her.

Exactly, the appeal has been a success in that evidence produced has exposed once again what a liar Meghan is, this time telling lies to discredit her own father, and lies about her involvement in the FF book, not to mention how sly she was by withholding evidence from the court.
Goodness knows what else would be revealed if it had gone to trial…

Everyone will remember she lied. To a court.

Everyone will remember she lied. To a court.
That's an awful lot of faith in the general public, most people can't remember what they had for lunch yesterday. Really, the truth is;
1) Most people don't know about this at all because most people don't really care about the Royal dramas, and
2) At least half of those who do know about this will have forgotten there was a court case at all in a year or two - let alone the details.
Because all of it only matters to those it matters to.
Toy Soldier

Here's another unfortunate truth about human nature;
The people who care that she lied may have something more to dislike her for - but they already didn't like her.
The people who like her don't care that she lied.
"The masses" that would sway, let's say, a poll on the matter will have shifted to be less in favour but --- most of them are just responding after briefly pondering the question and couldn't actually care less.
We all know these things deep down. Such is tribalism, such is 2021.

I think you are very wrong. A lot of people have little interest in the Royal Family in general...however as individuals they can have a huge following. Diana is the greatest example...they loved her because of who she was not because she was part of the Royal Family. Likewise Meghan has created a following...but for all the wrong reasons. Unlike Diana she is hugely disliked in this country.

Many people who like the Royals in general liked Meghan and loved Harry in the past, and started to dislike Harry and Meghan when they "quit the firm" (because they, ultimately, sided with the remaining British Royals - they chose a side).
This is not the same scenario - the sides have already been picked and we're asking "is this something that would make people switch sides".
The answer is "it's very unlikely to have made much difference at all".
I know you'd like that not to be true .

PIERS MORGAN: Put your gloating champagne away, Princess
Pinocchio - the court of public opinion now knows you're a fork-tongued
devious manipulative piece of work who only wants to protect your privacy so
you can sell it

'If you tell the truth,' Mark Twain once observed, 'you don't have to
remember anything.'
I thought of this incontrovertible truism today when news broke that Meghan
Markle had 'won' her privacy court battle with the Mail on Sunday.
Her victory response was issued within seconds, on regal notepaper adorned
with a gold 'M' under a golden crown, and headlined: 'Statement from
Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex.'
Obviously everything I have drafted is with the understanding that it could be
leaked,' she texted Jason Knauf, then her communications secretary, 'so I
have been meticulous in my word choice, but please do let me know if
anything stands out for you as a liability.'
Indeed, she was so convinced the letter might be published that she even
deliberately used certain words to manipulate the public's emotions when
they read it.
Knauf told the court: 'She also asked a specific question regarding
addressing Mr Markle as 'daddy' in the letter, saying 'given I've only ever
called him daddy it may make sense to open as such (despite him being less
than paternal), and in the unfortunate event that it leaked it would pull at
the heart-strings'.'
Wow.

Thats because the older generation understand respect...they know the difference between right and wrong. They have always had respect for their elders and anyone that deserves it. Harry and Meghan dont know the meaning of the word.
The trouble with the younger generation in general is life is a blame game to many...anything bad that happens to them is everyone elses fault and they never own it themselves. I see it so much and its not pretty.
Its not everyone obviously but it does look like its becoming a trend.
No one 'hates' on Meghan here thats your words and others that cannot respect the fact that others have a different opinion...

I think these people see decency and respect as a kind of weakness sadly. How anyone can support their behaviour is beyond me but those that have that mindset to treat people like that....always remember what goes around comes around...and it really does as we have seen with Meghan and Harry.
Anyone who thinks they are successful and happy are blind to the fact that the backlash they have had from the UK and the elite Americans is not what they want and it will eat away at them unless they can turn it around...but thats unlikely as the ugly untrustworthy traits have been well and truly exposed.

We're talking about a celebrity here, she isn't some human rights abusing dictator, she's someone living on the other side of the world to us.

Same for the side of the family that opposses them simply because they didn't want to suffer in an institution of gaslighting and mental abuse.

Load of misogynistic nonsense as usual, even if you do think they (as a couple) are in the wrong. Poor wee Harry led astray by a woman. It’s just a completely false narrative and to believe it at all, you have to completely ignore Harry’s clear feelings about the firm, AND all of his clear feelings about the British press that were present long before he even met her. Harry’s issues with his family stem from his mothers death, not his wife. That is abundantly obvious and quite understandable.

Harry said himself that he wouldn’t have left the Firm if he hadn’t met Meghan. He may have resented certain press but he didn’t hate them as much as he says he does now when they say he was the one in the Royal family who bantered with them and even drank with them in the pubs before he met Meghan. Listen to some youtube vids of Sun photographer Arthur Edwards; his recollections of Harry’s relationship with the press and snappers may surprise many. Read a bio of him from 8 years ago or so by an author who was allowed access to him on his trips and engagements for 10 months and again, a completely different Harry appears.
Meghan played on his history, his sensitivities and his hot headed temperament to bring out his vulnerabilities. She played on being the poor victim, badly treated just like his poor mother and was a sweet, sensitve, caring soul who just wanted to change the ills of the world. She emulated Diana, his lost mother. All to make sure she got him back to the US with her and away from his family.
Everything points to that being her plan all along, and Harry was happy enough to fall in with it because he was besotted. Dividing and isolating is a typical move by a narcissist which I believe Meghan is.
It has nothing to do with misogyny either, Meghan could just as easily been a man and Harry a woman in this saga.

Boomers have been adults for a lot longer and they still confuse themselves with the generation that came before, they haven't grown up from being entitled brats.
You are on about people who were sons of fathers, who's fathers were absent, or present. Very brutal words, especially after what they had to endure.
A few years, what felt like a lifetime, in the trenches of Belgium. A man thrust home into the world of a young child and a LOVING wife, after years of MYSERERY, alone but not alone in a foreign field.
The life of a young boomer comes in many guises dezzy, perhaps look at their upbringing, their mental health issues before being so dismissive.
Or just say the usual, **** their mental health issues though eh!!

Harry was punching the air when he met Meghan…couldn’t believe his luck. Completely mesmerised by her and has been her lapdog ever since.
Yep, and when Harry met Meghan it could have been more a case of strategic planning on her part than luck...:hee:
Meghan’s long time best friend Misha Nonoo’s husband was a close friend of Harry’s and she was the one thought to set them up on the blind date. Meghan was a member of Soho House and was close to Soho’s consultant Markus Anderson who also knew Harry well. Princess Eugenie frequented Soho House and Meghan befriended her through Markus.
Yet Meghan, who already knew these people who were friends with Harry (one of them for years, in Misha’s husband) and who was in London ‘looking for a famous English guy to date’ (her own words) said in the engagement interview that she didn’t know anything about Harry and didn’t even google him before their blind date but just wanted to know ‘was he kind’.
Well now, the mind does boggle.
The Telegraph
Laws could be changed to protect press freedoms following Meghan, Duchess of Sussex's legal victory
Downing Street has hinted at introducing new safeguards to protect the freedom of the press, in the wake of the Duchess of Sussex’s legal victory over the Mail on Sunday.
The Government would “study the implications” of the Court of Appeal decision in the case “carefully”, a spokesman for Boris Johnson announced on Friday...
…..Politicians, lawyers and campaigners raised concerns in the wake of the latest judgment that the courts are interpreting the law in a way that extends privacy rights beyond what was intended by Parliament.
John Whittingdale, the former Tory culture secretary, accused judges of creating far-reaching privacy laws without parliamentary scrutiny, branding it a “matter of great concern”.
Geoffrey Robertson QC, the leading human rights barrister, said earlier this week: “Privacy is now a growth industry. The law has been developed – in fact, created – by judges. But instead of applying a presumption in favour of free speech, they purport to ‘balance’ it with often over-valued reputations of rich and famous litigants.”.....etc
