Group winners + best 2nd ranked team (4th) advance to the quarterfinals. Teams ranked 5-12 will compete for the remaining 4 spots. After that things will continue as they normally would. (Quarterfinals, semifinals and bronze & gold medal match)

All of Group A advance to quarter finals, their matches vs each other inside the group are for seeding purposes regarding quarterfinals. Top 3 from Group B qualify for the quarterfinals. From there things will continue normally.

Our Men's team has much a better shot at success now that NHL isn't participating. Even though I'd rather than they did.
