Does your love for your bed compensate for the guilt you might feel for letting your friend/s down or do you only cancel when absolutely unavoidable?

Well, I haven't a love of bed as I'm up at around 6 to 6.30 am every morning and only take and need around 6 hours sleep.

On rare occasions where I definitely say I will be at an event, celebration or anything else involving friends and family.
Then I will 100% be there.

However, I rarely promise to be anywhere if asked or invited.
Leaving it to where, if I can and want to, I will be but not for anyone to rely on my being there.
So I've really never any need to disappoint or cancel.

Just about, I think, all my family, friends and those who know me casually know that's the case with me.

If I definitely promised,( which is extremely rare for me to do), that I'd be there, then absolutely I would be, no doubt about it.

I'm really good at saying no, so if I say yes, then flake, there'll be a genuine reason.
