Spielberg hasn't made a great film since "Catch me if you can" almost 20 years ago but I'm seeing quite a few people saying how great Spielberg's "West Side story" is, many saying it's better than the original and he's back to his best. It's getting some great reviews from the public and film critics alike.

I'll have to give it a watch myself to find out because I think the original is fantastic. Might have to go to the pictures this week.

Yeah apparently it really is even better than the original, which is a rare feat in movie making these days.

It’ll be a force come Awards Season.

It’ll be a force come Awards Season. The original won 10 Oscars. If this is as good as the hype says, then I reckon it's nailed on to win best picture and a fair few more.

Don’t be so sure just yet - it’s a very strong year this year.

Dune, Belfast, Licorice Pizza to name only but a few are all expected to sweep.

It’s certainly a contender though - plus, I mean, SPIELBERG.

yes i've seen the trailer too, during commercial breaks on our channels

it seems good, also really risky to go remaking a classic

Nessa, if you go to the pictures to watch this, make sure you take plenty of tissues with you because I hear it's a real tearjerker.

Surely Dune can only be up for visuals? Maybe sound? It's a stunning film to look at and I love the Dune lore - it has really amazing potential - but the pacing and storytelling of the movie was awful. Dune's back story is too extensive for a cinematic movie... It needed a high-budget TV/streaming adaptation. Maybe one day.
