“We unequivocally condemn the decision to invite Rod Liddle. Trans people have a fundamental right to safety and security on campus. It’s a disgrace that this was compromised last night under the veil of ‘academic freedom.”
They think safety and security was threatened by some bloke speaking? :joker:

saying “a person with an X and a Y chromosome, that has a long, dangling penis, is scientifically a man, and that is pretty much, scientifically, the end of the story”.
True though.

He went on to say: “It is fairly easily proven that colonialism is not remotely the major cause of Africa’s problems
Not so sure about that one. Though the withdrawal of colonialism was probably worse for the countries than anything else.

the educational underachievement of British people of Caribbean descent or African Americans is nothing to do with institutional or structural racism”.
Depends how you define institutional and structural racism. Certain areas might get under-funded whioch denies opportunities.

He was invited to speak, he spoke, some people didn’t like what he was saying, they chose to leave the room, normal human behaviour, yet another non story for old folks and bigots to complain that they’re ‘being ignored’ or ‘silenced’ and yet another way to demonise young people and universities (which is an odd thing that weirdos are now taking up against)

If we want to talk about people being abused for their opinion, let’s talk about how these students that chose to leave the room while this twat was spouting his nonsense, were accosted by the principal and his drunk wife after the event, publicly ridiculed them, called them names and even told one gay student that he shouldn’t even be in the uni.. but of course, choosing not listening to the bigoted dinosaur is the real issue at play here.

“Students aren’t giving up this fight because they are yet to feel safe again in South
College. We won't rest until we feel safe in our homes. That involves Tim no longer being
our principal and the university reviewing their policies to ensure these foul individuals are
not platformed by the university.”

What is it with some people where they think words can make them unsafe?
