[Tragedy a week before Christmas:
'Two sweet natured and happy sets of twins,
aged under five’ die in horror house fire
in south London that left firefighters
who battled in vain to save
them ‘numb with profound sadness’

Four children have died following a fire
at a terraced house on Collingwood Road
in Sutton, south London
Eight fire engines and around
60 firefighters were called to the
blazing property at around 7pm last night
Children were 'quickly located'
and given immediate CPR by fire crews
before being taken to hospital]

[A 27-year-old woman has been arrested on
suspicion of child neglect after four children - two sets of
twin boys aged three and four - died in a house fire
in south London.

The youngsters were all related, police said.

[The woman is being held in custody, Scotland Yard added.
When firefighters arrived at the property
in Sutton just before 7pm on Thursday the blaze
was already "very well-developed",
London Fire Brigade's (LFB) deputy commissioner,
Richard Mills, told reporters.]

ITV1HD Lunch News reporter said the Fire started
in the Kitchen.

I bet she has done it before.

But the Fire started in the Kitchen.
I assume the 4 very young kids were hungry?

Jesus, three (sets of) child deaths in as many weeks, and that's just what's being widely reported ... Were the social services involved in this family too?

Why didn't she get a family member or a close friend to watch them while she goes shopping?

I keep hearing about so many child neglect stories now, it's unsettling and horrible . What the hell is going on .

Struggling with this one, it's not like the Dad or his family weren't involved in their lives and her Mum is in the area as well, so it is inexplicable that she thought it was okay to pop out even for a short time
