I feel like it's common that as soon as high school ended, the connections disappeared near enough immediately after. All my current friends are not at all from my high school days, and I don't even have passing conversations with them anymore. What's the situation with you? XD

I did...but she passed away at a young age. However many of us stay in touch through Facebook.

Eh, friends is a bit of a stretch at this point, but I’m still in occasional contact with a childhood friend of mine from school

It's funny as people who was never friends seem to
Add eachother/ friend collect on Facebook just because they went to the same school ,but I don't think many actually talk to eachother.
I had some friends who added me on Facebook, only exchanged a few messages. But now we've gone separate ways.

It’s interesting really - my two best friends who I still see I’ve known forever. One since I was 14, the other literally since I was a toddler, we lived directly across from each other from birth . However I didn’t see them anything like as much during Uni and was obviously really close with my Uni housemates - we lived together so were together basically all day every day for 4 years - but we all went separate ways and lost touch fairly quickly (within 5 years post-Uni).
Whereas my school friends, we’re in touch most days on the ol’ WhatsApp group chat and meet up as often as we can (sadly far less often since Covid).
Have lost touch with many other school pals though. There are a few who I suspect if we ran into each other and went for a coffee/drink it would be like no time had passed at all. I was still in touch with a few all through Uni etc… having kids changes things up a lot though and you move on.

There's three of us still in regular contact now, which has increased to six now that we've all got partners and we all meet fairly regularly. I actually found it a lot harder to keep in contact with friends from university.
Yes im still friends with quite a few

I met my still best friend when I was at school but we went to different schools. I have a group I regularly meet up with from school and have others as FB friends
These days you can count the number of my friends on one hand and still have spare fingers.

i have 2 school pals on whats app that i see now at funerals (but still in touch):. I have my uni pals on another and we message daily and my London work pals/golf boys we message daily and meet up yearly my pal from primary school was killed when he was 21
I have 10 or more high school friends I could just walk up to after not seeing them for 20 years, and just give them a dead arm or a nipple tweak as a hello, again.
Or a punch in the face for dod for spiking my drink with acid once on a sunday afternoon during a distant past gathering if the old faces.
DOD..I first met him when I was a goalkeeper in my p7 football team, playing his team. We lost 12-1, I scored ours.
