Who in their right mind would go to a hotel and order that abomination when a full cooked breakfast is on the cards?

Yes a cooked brekkie sets you you for the day, although not before 9am.
Croissants with jam
Pain au chocolat can be too much though before lunchtime

I love hotels that put on a nice breakfast wide choice , I've always liked cooked & croissants & ham.

I like an Eggs Benedict or Scrambled Eggs with toast but also a Yogurt and some fruit :hee:
