On Friday morning the Carlow town post office was called by a member of the public who asked if he could ‘collect a pension’ on an OAP’s behalf
When told no, and that the pensioner would have to appear in person, the schemers TOOK the man,66 , to the Post Office, at 11:30am
There was one problem: he was DEAD
This was only realised when the man was propped against the wall
A member of staff enquired about his well-being
His two accomplices then fled, as the dead OAP slumped to the floor

Scene of the crime: Carlow town post office
Gardai said a house has been sealed off, as a ‘crime scene’ and a ‘full post mortem’ would take place
The Irish Times interviewed Carlow locals, who claimed the man was ‘well liked’

The pensioners body was removed from the crime scene , a local beauty technician claimed it was ‘unbelievable’

Actually couldn't believe what I was reading then - what the hell!? :omgno:
What sort of people are incapable of raising human beings to be civilised? Surely there was a School attended by these people in their lives that taught them right from wrong? Where did the breakdown away from humanity happen?

What a sad and horrible story, I hope he wasn’t murdered

He was quite young, 66, so only recently retired..

OK
[It said the two men "dropped" the body
and fled when staff questioned them.]
I would assume it had a smell?

Maybe
But also he wouldn’t have been walking, more like a drag
He was probably also wearing big shades to cover his shut eyes
If I was them I would have taken him in a wheelchair, and told them he was sleeping but had given me a handwritten note that gave me permission

Yes maybe an old relative
and those that dumped him
have No Funding to have him buried etc.

It can’t be, because then they’d have legally claimed the pension
And he was ‘well liked’ , he must have had family and friends to check round on him often, he was probably murdered 😔 hardly had the chance to spend any of his pension, that’s probably why he was targeted

Don’t be silly Arista the state would have buried him if they had no funds and the fact that they could bring him in must mean he had died very recently ...

Might be their dad, his pension was due so they wanted to cash in.

You can not legally cash in a state pension of a person that is dead.

Maybe he was Alive but
died as he went in?
Maybe he was Alive but
died as he went in?
On one of the interviews a lady said she saw the man being dragged into the shop so he was already dead
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/dead-man-brought-post-office-26024442.amp
He died three hours earlier
His name was Peador Doyle
The offenders are in their 30s
The man lived 400 metres from the post office
But after being told he couldn’t claim without the pensioner in person, it took him HOURS to return - is this when he killed him ?
They apparently put a woolly jumper on his face and hat on
Funeral on Monday

Bit random how they knew he was dead
It has been revealed that the pensioner was the suspect’s UNCLE
Declan Haughney, the OAP’s nephew, claimed he didn’t KNOW the man was dead
Hé instead claims the pensioner died during the 5 minute journey to the post office from his house
Apparently Declan has a black 👁 eye after ‘being attacked’
He stole from his auntie fifteen years ago, spending two years banged up for this, and because of his ‘drug past’, he claims cops are trying to pin it on him wanting drug money
However he claims he ‘would never’ steal from his uncle
But the two LIVED TOGETHER
Declan has not been arrested
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/17421566/took-uncles-body-post-office-pension/
Gardai have said he died from natural causes, ok.
But why would Declan need an accomplice to transport his uncle to the post office if he was still alive?
I reckon Declan discovered his uncle had died in his sleep, wanted to claim the man’s last bit of pension money before it went into control of his wider family, and so called his friend to help him move the man to the post office.

Declan Haughney, suspected of attempting to claim his dead uncle’s pension was photographed at the victim’s funeral, yesterday
He incorrectly wore his disposable blue face mask whilst carrying the coffin, and was later caught puffing shamelessly on a FAG despite the ‘sad and sudden’ funeral
The offender looked out of place as he donned a casual tracksuit and trainers, whilst other members of the family opted for classy and formal couture
He also ‘showed off’ his black eye, after being attacked for escorting his uncle’s dead body into a post office in a wicked attempt to claim his final weekly pension allowance

He went to Post Office first without his uncle
they said, no.
So him and his mate dragged the body to the Post Office
he said he must have died as they went in there.
But the Police say that body has been dead for 3 hours or more.
All about getting his Uncles Cash
so he could buy drugs.
He is Scum.
It was on Ch5HD AM

So what can they charge him with?

you still can't carry a dead person around with you and take the cadaver with you to the shops fgs
It's defrauding the government, and gross indecency at a minimum

Gross indecency ??
Im not a law expert but it is..
Defined as ‘a term formerly used to denote certain criminal offences, in particular sexual activity between men (before this was decriminalized) and sexual offences against children’
I think you’ll find that was Jimmy Savile :nono:

Gardaí in Carlow have arrested two men in connection with an attempt to collect a dead man's pension.
Peadar Doyle, 66, was brought to the post office on Staplestown Road last Friday morning by two men who left him there after staff became concerned for his welfare.
He was subsequently found to have died that morning and his body was removed from the scene.
Earlier a man had tried to collect his pension but was told the recipient had to be present.
Gardaí began a criminal investigation and this morning arrested two men in their 30s on suspicion of deception.
They are being detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act in separate garda stations and can be questioned for up to 24 hours.
Their period of detention has already been extended for further questioning.
A post mortem examination will be conducted by the Office of the State Pathologist; the results of which will determine the course of the investigation.
Garda Headquarters said no further information is available at this time.

Finally
The way he dressed and acted at his uncle’s funeral was disgraceful, didn’t care about him at all. It was just another day for him. He is a scrounger.
