Damon Albarn, 53, frontman of iconic 90s britpop band Blur has been viciously attacked by Taylor Swift fans online, after claiming Swift, 32, ‘doesn’t write’ her own songs, but rather does it with collaborators.

The claim came during an interview in the US for Los Angeles Times.

After the innocent remark went public, ‘Swifties’ began sending DEATH threats to the iconic Blur singer, who quickly ‘apologised’.

However Albarn’s mild comment does not compare to the vicious abuse from Taylor fans, with those on Twitter warning him his days ‘are numbered’, with one even threatening to ‘leak his address’, whilst another said they ‘were coming for him’. Some of these comments even come from Taylor Swift FAN ACCOUNTS, which are usually run by 13 year old girls.

Taylor herself publicly overreacted on Twitter, to her 90 million followers, claiming Albarn’s passing remark was ‘SO damaging’, and she is ‘no longer a fan’.

Swift is allowing her fans to continue the horrid abuse being spewed onto the iconic British legend.

Can't believe 13 year old girls sending death threats is WOKE.

It's toxic behaviour, certainly, but not particularly "woke".

His Twitter has been savaged by these 13 year olds who claim he’s a ‘misogynist’. Unfortunately for them in the very same interview he highly praised Billie Eilish.
And embarassingly tor them they have no clue who he is!

Am I a misandrist for saying Prince Harry’s behaviour is awful? Wokeness.

It's basically stupid behaviour from a bunch of kids.

I do think it's irresponsible of Taylor Swift to encourage this kinda behaviour though when she should be trying to defuse the situation.

And obviously he should do some research before making sweeping statements.

That's just embarrassing from the Swifties.

She may be prettier and makes catchy Music if you like her style, but to not have heard of Song 2 or Clint Eastwood should be made a criminal offence.:joker:

Btw I'm sure Damon Albarn has his admirers before anyone thinks that I'm attacking his looks.:joker:

Nicky I can tell you have no idea what you’re talking about.

And to quote a Taylor Swift song ‘shake shake shake shake shake shake shake it off shake it off shake it off shake it off shake shake shake shake shake’

To be fair he's not wrong, if I was going to choose a band that could confidently critique other people's song writing abilities... ... ... I don't think my first thought would be "Blur" :hehe:.

the only reason the guy made that comment was because he is jealous of her success, so in this case i wouldn't necessarily right off misogyny as the reason. I always thought blur were crap and im not keen at all on Taylors stuff, but kids like what they like and that's fine

Anyway, if you have a group of fanatics and someone attacks their idol, they will go on the attack, that's just what happens

He didn’t really ‘attack’ her though, he made quite an innocent remark , that was taken out of context, and now he has 90 million Taylor Swift fans leaking his location and threatening to harm him and his family. It’s not on. Nor is it ‘just what happens’

It's not an innocent remark to publicly diminish someone's work effort. If you had a job and someone said you were bad at it with no real knowledge I can't imagine you would you be happy about it.

I genuinely wouldn’t care, I’d ignore it. My boss wouldn’t fire me, and I’d continue working like normal.

I wouldn’t complain on Twitter, then allow the family and friends that follow me there to send said person death threats, like Taylor has done.
