Yes she has two rescue dogs when it would have been easy to get pedigrees
Her and Charles are suited, it’s a shame he didn’t marry her to begin with,

Really is. Would have saved a lot of heartache in the long run.
Don’t get me wrong - I loved Diana (our Princess of Wales), and what happened was so tragic. But if anyones to blame it’s the elders, not Charles or Camilla. If they’d have just allowed him to marry CPB from the beginning which was all he wanted then it’d be a very different and much happier story.

People love Kate & Will, their humour, compassion, loyalty, and down to earth-ness.and they were certainly be King & queen within the next 10-20 years, so it’s not the beginning of the end

They are duller than dishwater and not nearly as relevant or progressive enough to keep royalty up with the times (like the Sussexes) William will not be seeing that throne.

Much rather Haz n Megz even with all the controversy - much more intriguing and exciting pair.
Mind you - I suppose boring and unassuming is what’s wanted/needed for a monarch so.

Oh yes he will
And Harry is not ‘up with the times’, advising people to quit their jobs if they’re unhappy
Nor is he progressive, just because he preaches about meditation

That’s in the job description of a constitutional monarch though
And last I read Kate was playing rugby a few days ago, whilst Harry was sat at home, making a video via video link about how difficult his life is.

They are indeed loved. A beautiful couple with beautiful children. They are decent, truly caring, good fun but dignified and regal which befits the monarchy. You wouldn’t catch Kate squatting with her legs spread as if she was taking a s***, unlike Megs.

Like it or not the modern Royal family has relied on characters like Princess Diana and Harry and Meghan to come along and keep them culturally relevant. Boring and unassuming might have been ideal traits decades ago but it's not what is going to keep them going in this day and age.
They're also lucky Liz has reigned for as long as she has because that's made her become an attraction in herself, when she's gone what is keeping the rest of the world interested in our royals?

Charles and Camilla as King and Queen won’t make the impact that William and Kate would if the Royal family is going to remain an institution…

William and Kate are very well suited to their future roles as King and Queen.
Thank goodness Harry was never the heir, what a disaster that would have been, truly the end of the monarchy. It’s all very well being entertained by their attention seeking, their lies, their money grabbing, their hypocrisy and their perpetual whining, but that’s what they are worth now - soap opera entertainment.
What a comedown from being high ranking members of the Monarchy. Their departure has been an unmitigated disaster so far.

No they haven’t. The high end weddings that have attracted billions of viewers worldwide have. The work they do for charity has. The Monarchy has always been a staple of Britain. It will always be culturally relevant.
And to ask you your own question, what is it about Queen Liz that has made the royal family so ‘interesting’?
The world is not solely interested in Queen Elizabeth herself, they are interested in the monarchy system, which would have been abolished in their countries centuries. ago, and the fabulous architecture , such as Buckingham, that accompanies it.
Not to mention the fact the monarch rules over the likes of Australia and Canada, with close links to India and the Caribbean.

Some people do look more elegant than others, and some stances do make people look like they're crapping. Comparing these attributes between two women doesn't imply misogyny.

Says sheriff who will berate Meghan at every opportunity
I adored Diana, and the sad thing is she and Charles were just not suited at all. Neither of them were saints. It was around 5 years after their marriage before Charles resumed his affair with Camilla, although maintaining his friendship with her during those years drove Diana wildly jealous as she knew his heart really belonged to Camilla. By that time Diana was having affairs of her own.
Long after the divorce Diana said Charles was a good man and one of the kindest men she had ever known.
The Crown (written by an anti - monarchist) is mainly fiction but many people believe its way OTT portrayal of Diana, Charles and Camilla is the truth. It really isn’t.
Camilla has come a long way from getting rotten eggs thrown at her in the street and having to hide indoors for months. She has quietly worked at her many charities and has devoted herself to supporting Charles and the Queen all these years. I never thought I’d say this, because I loved Diana, but she has earned the respect she now has from many in the public and the Queen. Fair play to her.

She is Charles' wife of course she is going to be seen with him. I think she was a brave woman to marry Charles...especially knowing she was disliked so much. The backlash she endured...and she never moaned once. You can see how happy they are together.

Yeah, its not as if their affair broke up Diana and Charles's marriage, and then she dumped him - its been a true love story really.
Harry on Camilla:
https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/uks-camilla-camila-latest-news-british-royal-family-news-from-wicked-stepmother-to-queen-consort-how-uk-mis-judged-camilla-2751780
[In 2005, Harry rejected the image of her as a "wicked stepmother", describing her as a "wonderful woman and she's made our father very, very happy, which is the most important thing.
"William and I love her to bits."]
both diana and charles had affairs. That was never a happy relationship. I'm sure they were both aware of the situation going into the marriage.
I don't know Camilla .... what she is called just doesn't bother me. It's not like calling someone king or queen means anything these days

Their affair stopped after the wedding, but they remained close friends, which obviously bothered Diana. She knew where his heart lay, so in a way he was still being unfaithful to Diana, just not physically.
When the marriage had irretrievably broken down after about 5 years, the affair resumed. The only other version that portrays it any differently is the mostly fictionilised series the Crown.
But if you believe differently, fine - many people still do.

I can say Liz rules over Britain for all I care, it doesn’t mean I see her as some sort of dictator ordering Boris what to do.
And she is not just ‘an exceptionally wealthy lady’; she can declare war, appoint Lords (who debate and approve the bills of the commons), and eventually she approves the bills of parliament into law., all of which affect your life and my life.

PURELY ceremonial/a formality, if a law went through the houses and was refused by the monarch we'd be a Republic faster than you can say "we only have a monarchy for PR".
It's a puppet monarchy. As it should be of course. The concept of hereditary rule was always gross.

If you read the article though, all the things she "can" do either are purely ceremonial or have to ve agreed by the Government or haven't been done during her reign or for centuries.
I appreciate the monarchy in relation to the charity work, tourist money etc but they do not "rule" in any way shape or form now.

Give me a call the day a sitting monarch in a first world country like the UK actually exercises any of the "powers they have" and I'll call you back a couple of years later when we're living in a Republic and Buckingham Palace is floor to ceiling with tourists learning about how Britain used to have a Queen.
They have no real power. Zilch.
If you read the article though, all the things she "can" do either are purely ceremonial or have to ve agreed by the Government or haven't been done during her reign or for centuries.

No, the Queen doesn't 'rule', and in any way she could rule, she chooses not to, very wisely.
However, the Queen has had 14 prime ministers meet with her on a weekly basis over the years of her reign when they discuss the kingdom’s most important political issues. No one else is allowed in the room, not even her private secretary, it must all remain completely confidential. She is publicly neutral politically, but no - one knows what goes on in that room in an ‘advisory’ role - and the only thing that has been revealed is that many of those Ministers have said her advice is sought and is invaluable. She does not have political power, obviously, but with her wealth of experience over 70 years, she does have influence.
And so it begins ..
: Rumours that Charles may walk back on his promise that Camilla would not be queen has riled Anne to no end, and she’s told both Charles and Camilla as much.
Anne has made it plain that Camilla will never be a true queen in the eyes of the British subjects.
Anne also wields a lot of power and has a lot of respect in that family, so you will find that the Wessexes, and maybe even the Cambridges, will back her on this.

If true, which I doubt, then Anne doesn’t feel that way on Diana’s account. It is no secret that she couldn’t stand Diana, unfortunately.

PRINCESS ANNE took a dislike to Princess Diana during her time in the Firm, with one commentator claiming the royal had "no time" for her.]
Anne is very blunt, she is the most down to earth of any of the royals. I don't think she has much influence, so it really doesnt matter what she thinks. Any royal coming after the queen is going to have a hard time because it will be the end of an era that can never be replicated. I think royalty post queen will be close to irrelevant to te majority of people

Anne had affairs herself when married to Mark Phillips - one of the men was definately married.
Wasn't Anne involved with Camilla's first husband at one stage ... talk about complicated

It's called "skepticism" so no I don't have a link, I just don't believe for a second that Mr Epstein's pal kept it in his pants for an entire decade and only turned to the dark side AFTER his divorce :idc:.

Helpfully, I listed those who hadn't, which is what you asked for.

No affairs during the marriage have ever been reported, not even a rumour of any.
Fergie said that Andrew had a very low sex drive, he preferred to play golf or sit in front of the TV; he was a couch potato. That was the reason she gave during an interview on American TV for having had 2 affairs during their marriage.

Ah you've got to love that inbred bunch, the can do what they like and it's fine. Whereas if you marry into them and have mental health issues, well.. you deserve nothing but contempt.

That’s unfair ..
As I recall Di’s ‘problems’ only started when she finally realised she was the odd one out in the ‘relationship’ and Charlie boy just married her to produce his heirs

So the queen and Philip were not related?
I was referring to this: 'if you marry into them and have mental health issues, well.. you deserve nothing but contempt'.
If you do your research, you'll find that is simply not true. Diana had loads of help and support, and it was Harry who admitted he was too ashamed to ask for help for Meghan, when he and William were the patrons of mental health charities and had received help themselves. The Queen and Camilla in particular were very supportive of Meghan, who is a known liar and *hit stirrer.

I'm hardly bullying a dead woman and you should see the things I've read about Camilla. Someone mentioned her problems only beginning when she married Charles... How do we know that? She was a lovely and caring woman but she had her faults and her demons - don't we all - but people have turned her into an eternal victim.

Charlie having an affair with Camilla didnt force Diana to also have affairs, it didnt force her to be bulimic, that was how Diana as a person dealt with things. Her choice, no-one elses

I adored Diana for her warm and caring nature - and she was also fun loving and had a wicked sense of humour, but she was also troubled from an early age by her mother walking out on the family when she was about 6 yrs old. She was witness to her parents’ acrimonious divorce, and she and her siblings were the subjects of a bitter custody battle. Diana was said to be a very needy child.
She and Charles were pushed into the marriage by the grandmothers, and the tragedy of it all was that it was never going to work whether there was a Camilla or not- she was a young 19, he was an 'old' and serious 30 and they had no interests in common whatsoever. But some time after the divorce, they both said they would always love each other in their own way.
Yes, I loved Diana but my goodness she was no saint. She had affairs with married men and broke up the marriage of one of them (Will Carling). She put too much of a burden on young William by confiding her adult problems to him and wanting his comfort (she totally protected Harry from it all though, and expected William to do the same). She admitted to this and was ashamed of it.
It is said she found true love with the heart surgeon Dr. Hasnot Khan, but after a 2 year romance, it ended. There are many theories as to why, but Khan has never revealed the reasons. Like a true gentleman, he won’t talk about their relationship.
We will always love Diana and remember the many good things about her because without her flaws, she wouldn't have been the mesmerising and interesting Diana we adored.
