Have they stopped people from being able to read threads on there without having an account? That's really annoying, i don't want an account but I like to read some threads on there that interest me. Any way to bypass that?

Yeah it's behaving more and more like Instagram.
I have neither of those accounts ,but likewise I like to sometimes view images, or read stuff on there but these sites always want you to sign up / create an account  . It's annoying for sure .

Sometimes I wonder whether I should create an account, but I can never be bothered lol.

It's been like that a while for me - only able to see the first few tweets of an account then it flashes up a message saying to log in. Does the same if I click a tweet to see the replies or try to search anything as well

It doesn't do it when I go into incognito mode on my phone though so can bypass it that way but that's obviously a hassle

Another thing that's annoying aswell is trying to read online articles, and the silly website/ newspaper wants me to sign up & subscribe ...so I can read the rest of the article :notimpressed: .I'm not signing up to anything.

my view is that if they want to put news etc behind a wall, it's not news.

I think this may have changed, it's surely not a HUGE issue though as you can just set up an anonymous Twitter... you don't have to use your real name or picture.

e.g. I think I actually do have a "Toy Soldier" account as well as my real account.

i read something recently that they are rolling out changes to tighten up on abuse. It may be related to that
