I saw their pictures the other day. She looks so old now, I wonder what the new season of Stranger things is going to look like

All of the "kids" are quite obviously older teenagers now - I remember thinking the same when I saw Will Byres in Halloween CLASSIC "Hubie Halloween"... the young male cast now all tower over Winona Ryder for example, and don't really look much younger than the "older young cast" (Nancy/Steve/Jonathan) these days.

Surely the only sensible thing to do is a time jump of a couple of years, to make them about 16/17 in-show.

It will be a bit ridiculous if they don't time jump, how will that change where they had left off in the last season though I wonder. I presume such a big time gap hadn't been the original plan

I don't know, I think with them believing they've put an end to things with the explosion, Eleven leaving with Will and Joyce, and Hopper MIA in Russia, it sort of does set up a bit of a time jump. Eleven/Will/Joyce returning to the town after a few years away, and it being more dramatic for Hopper to reappear after being presumed dead for a while.
