Peter Hitchens put me off it. He said it wasn't very good and Stephen Fry was rubbish as Jeeves.
"You rang m'lord" is a comedy set in the same era with an upstairs downstairs theme. I've seen that and I don't think there is anyway that Jeeves and Wooster could match it. Croft and Perry are the greatest British comedy writers of all time, so P.G. Woodhouse doesn't stand a chance against them.
