The original Halloween still holds up.

A sort of horror/thriller alternative I’d recommend is Joy Ride, watched it last night after many years and thoroughly enjoyed it. Basically two guys travelling across America use their car/truck radio to prank a trucker into thinking he’s talking to a woman and one thing leads to another - little do they know the trucker they’re humiliating turn out to be an evil killer. It’s on All 4.
