What museums do you have local to you.

Are they free entry or do you have to pay to enter.

All museums in Hull are free entry (not sure about The Deep)

Yesterday I went in Hull Streetlife museum, Hull and East Riding museum and Ferrens art gallery. I would have gone in William Wilberforce House but it was closed for renovations as was the Maritime museum.

Some of these may be exclusively free to Manchester residents but certainly aren’t all free to the general public

A ticket to the Football museum costs £11

They must have only recently changed that. I live in the postcodes quoted so haven't paid when I have been.

Apologies for the misinformation people - good job Glib is here to put me right.

Theres lots we like but none exactly local.

Our fave is the national museum of Scotland it's free entry (at least it was last time we were in) but the parking prices in Edinburgh are horrendous.

The last time i went to a museum in Glasgow. I distinctly said to one one the staff "is it ok to take pictures?" and they smiled and said "sure"

10 minutes later as i left with a large 15th Century oil i was flattened by 2 security guards and spent 6 months in jail

so you can keep them

:oh:
