Always closed...to stop the cat getting in and disturbing our sleep.

I'm with Rusti, the dog and cat are not getting into my bedroom at night to wake me up constantly

Me and my Bf are total opposites on this. so it depends whos last in bed. he says he wants the air flow, where as i want to feel cosy and dark. but whenever i wake up in the morning and see that the door was open all night long its a slight feeling of inherent shock lol even after 3 years

Shut the door, shut the world out.

Since the kids were born it was always open so we could hear them, and so the dog could wander in if he wanted. Now the dog doesnt come up stairs very much as he is 15 and the one son at home has his door closed but ours is still slightly ajar ...no lights on though or heating....

Open so the cat can get in, he sleeps on a catbed behind the door. He's as good as an alarm clock, wakes us up around seven every morning.

If I let my cat wander in and out of my room at night I'd wake up with him sitting on my head

Ditto. PITCH black. Door shut, blackout blind down and curtains over it just to make sure no light leaks in. :joker:

Prefer it to be closed but if I’m home alone I’ll leave the door open for the dogs to wander in and out cause they’ll tap at the door and wake me up otherwise.

I don't think anyone will break in ,but I just find the idea of the bedroom door wide open strange when I've gone to sleep/ gone to bed.
I don't mind having it slightly ajar though.
