Standard large cod and chips probably. Though the chippy near me is charging £5.95 for a large chips now and £12.50 for a large cod, so i won't be going there again.
Just cod, chips and mushy peas. I used to get a steak pie quite often but chip shop pies are never great so I don't see the point now, can get better from a supermarket. Same as sausages, they're always nasty from a chip shop compared to ones you can buy from a butchers or good supermarket ones

That's insane, I thought ours had gone a bit overpriced with it being about £9 for standard cod and chips
I know everywhere has had to pay more for their ingredients etc but they need to stay a bit competitive or its no cheaper than going out for a meal
Some out of towers come to Hull to try their famous fish and chip shops.
This guy tries the Hull patty and Hull chip spice for the first time.

One thing I've never tried but would like to is the Scottish chip shop deliciously of a deep fried battered Mars bar. We don't do them here.

you can get a sweet chili haggis supper
Never tried Haggis. I think I would definitely order that if ever I'm up in Scotland.
They do them in 2 shapes..one like the black pudding in Lts picture, and a squarer one..which is usually moister than the other one.
LTs chips look proper, clean and crispy, with plenty potatoes inside, not like the dry cardboard things from flames kebabs.
I'll be treating myself to fish, chips and mushy peas this coming Good Friday.

I've never heard of a red pudding. I tasted haggis one time in Glasgow actually, it's a lot nicer than I thought it would be, I'd definitely try a haggis supper if I go to Scotland again
I like black pudding but can't imagine having it as the main meal

Black pudding supper can actually be awesome, but it's hit and miss. Needs to be freshly done, if they've been left to sit in the hot hold they can dry out a bit. Haggis supper is similar.
I'm also ashamed to say I'm a fan of a half pizza crunch (yes, that is a battered and deep friend pizza :joker: ). When I get them my eldest likes to say, ":yuk: I'll miss you when you have your heart attack dad"... [emoji23]
I also like a SCOTTISH sausage supper (battered sausages) but not those gross ones you get in England where its more like a big hot dog thing (not battered). Ew. Same goes for steak pie supper - in Scotland the pie is, of course, deep fried. Pie suppers in England aren't the same at all, they're this weird little round pie and not deep fried. Who wants that?
Never had battered chips from a chippy but one of the Chinese take aways around here does battered salt 'n' pepper chips and they're gorgeous.
i have had a few deep fried pizzas at closing time, and there is nothing quite like it. Ive also had the deep fried pie where if you squeeze it, rivers of fat gush from it

Fish (battered or breaded) and chips.
The price has gone up recently though.
I'd cook some broccoli at home to go with it.
