Rylan is the only one from the hosting alumni I'd be happy with, and if you told me a few years ago I'd be saying that I'd have never believed you. Pairing him with Alison could be fun too - and I think ITV have long been looking for a higher profile show for her.


Marcus is an absolute no no for me. He became too much of a parody of himself and for me was actually a barrier to watching it on C5 rather than an asset - everytime I thought I'd give BB another chance in it's latter years I just couldn't get past the first few minutes due to the over narration.

More than that though the style of reality TV narrating has changed signfificantly in recent years so I think they'd go down a more comic route. Whoever they choose though they need to scale it back so they're more of an announcer rather than narrator - so opening and closing the show, but a bit more involved during the show than in the US/Canada too.

What they absolutely must not do is have "Big Brother" narrate the show and constantly switch between that role and talking to the housemates - that's one of the worst things about the Aussie revival.


I would also hope by going "back to the glory days" they keep any spin offs to a minimum to avoid over exposure and put all their efforts into the main show. Once a week would be fine, something in the style of the Side Show in Canada, with one packed hour of content rather than content spread thinly over one hour a night. If they do this they can probably just use the same host as the main show, as Love Island does with Aftersun.

As much as Rylan has grown on me it’s a no. I think his quirky style is more suited to a spin-off than it is for a headlining role. He’d be Brian 2.0.

I’d be ok if Davina came back but otherwise I feel like it’s time to pass the torch over to someone new.

Lastly I think it’s great that many alumni have gone on to make a name for themselves in the industry but it’s another no from me in terms of presenting the main show. Save them for a potential spin-off.

I also don’t think we need to reinvent the wheel here… Traditionally BB presenters are female and if it ain’t broke.

TBH Rylan's evictee interviews were the fairest and most balanced of anyone who has done it so far (with Dermot 2nd but he lacked insight at times), so I'd happily see him do the job.

Both Davina and Emma brought FAR too much of their own bias and opinions to the interviews, sometimes to the extent that they were an absolute mess. Poor Brian Dowling was just a bit rubbish.

Maybe someone like Miquita Oliver , she did well in the T4 days and in Gogglebox. She was one of the few T4 presenters that didn't irritate me . I couldn't stand Steve Jones .

Alison isn't suited to BB even though an ex BB housemate, I don't think it would work .But I wouldn't say she's a bad presenter. I think she does fine on the morning show with Dermot,I don't watch it much though.

An ex BB housemate being a presenter sounds ok on paper, but it just doesn't work as the person isn't a professional and I think they get too overwhelmed . Brian Dowling wasn't the best .

First of all No Zezi was not the main BB presenter , she was a Co host with George Lamb on the spin off on BBLB..... so it's not really the same thing.

Plus blame the producers for that, as clearly she didn't have as much experience. She wasn't terrible..... but you could tell she was still trying to find her feet.

They could still have a newbie with great social skills, who's worked in front of a camera before, and who's very familiar with how reality tv is done . They might even smash it and become a big hit.

I agree. I guess Davina being called Big Mother only came after her children were practically born on the show. Emma to a lesser extent.

I’ve watched some clips of her presenting Walk the Line and she doesn’t seem as polished as Davina or Emma… That said I see that as more of a strength rather than a weakness. Looking at a host like Arisa Cox from BBCAN part of why fans live her so much is that we’ve been able to watch her growth as a presenter over the last 10 years. I see Maya having that same potential.

I would absolutely love it if Davina were to host again, but I won’t be surprised if she doesn’t to be honest. I get the impression from ITV that they want to start off with a clean slate. I hope I’m proven wrong though!! After all, Marcus is going back to the voiceover role, which is wonderful to hear about. He’s the one thing that has remained constant with this show, and it really wouldn’t feel right without him.

I’m glad Rylan isn’t hosting, as I think his style is much better suited for the sideshows. If he hosted the main show, it would be like Brian all over again, and touching on another point that has already been mentioned, it just doesn’t feel right for BB to be hosted by a man. (no hate to Brian though, he’s fantastic, just not as a host.)

Kate and Alison would provide an interesting dynamic to the show, since we’ve never had two hosts doing the main show. Normally I would be against this, but I’m going to make an exemption with these two, because they have great chemistry and bounce off each other so well.

Leigh Francis aka 'Keith Lemon' has been doing this crap for years , he hides behind that persona and gets away with it . I don't know why he's only being called out now .
