I've heard that when you get over 65 years of age, two things happen. Your ears get a lot bigger and you physically shrink.

I saw a guy I'd not seen for about 10 years and he was about 5 feet 11 last time I saw him, and now he's about 5 feet 5. He's 78 years old, by the way.

I'm nowhere near 65 but I swear I'm shrinking already....I used to be 5ft 6 but I was measured recently at the docs and they put me down as 5ft 5.5

Blimey. I'm already short. I'll be a midget by the time I'm 60 :joker:

3 things happen...if we are talking about things that dangle from the outer body

It happens with age ,also it's to do with your posture aswell.

Do people actually shrink or do they just stoop

My uncle sometimes says "I used to have five inches and a wrinkle, now I've got five wrinkles and an inch!"

Just putting it out there.

Be carefull, they look like they might make your stoop more evident.

women shrink more so than men, but it is a fact that your spine loses bone and joints and cartilage wear out which causes you to shrink

Every morning when I go into the smallest boy LTs room and see the clothes he took off the night before it looks like he walked into his room and shrunk down to 6 inches tall and went to bed as his clothes and concertinaed together on the floor

So if I get to my 70's I'll be the height of Carlos Tevez.

Your nose gets bigger too as well as your ears.

Can't wait to shrink a bit - I'm far too tall as it is. :joker:

It could be compression in the spine too. I think I've lost an inch too over the last few years.

Our spines compress about half to 3/4 of an inch throughout each day then goes back to normal overnight.. apparently

Some people have to adjust their car mirror slightly on the drive home from work .. fun fact
