Conservative MP Jamie Wallis charged over car crash

[A Conservative MP has been charged with failing
to stop after a car crash
in Wales in November last year.

Jamie Wallis, who has been the MP
for Bridgend since 2019,
has also been charged with failure
to report a traffic collision,
driving without due care and attention
and leaving a vehicle in a
dangerous position.

South Wales police said in
a statement on Thursday that they
had been investigating the collision,
which took place in the
village of Llanblethian,
near Cowbridge,
in the early hours of 28 November.

The force added that
the politician, 37, is due to appear before
Cardiff magistrates’ court on 10 May.]
