Sir David Frederick Attenborough is an English broadcaster, biologist, natural historian and author.

While Attenborough's earlier work focused more on the wonders of the natural world, his later work has been more vocal in support of environmental causes. He has advocated for restoring planetary biodiversity, limiting population growth, switching to renewable energy, mitigating climate change, reducing meat consumption, and setting aside more areas for natural preservation.

Attenborough's contribution to broadcasting and wildlife film-making has brought him international recognition. He has been called "the great communicator, the peerless educator"and "the greatest broadcaster of our time."

I'm sorry to say but I am not a fan of cats.

Dogs all the way.

Although I did meet a cat called George once when I was staying with this lady in Australia.

He was very obese, but quite cute and he had a funny personality. He would only drink from a running tap.

Lots of cats do that, I had to get mine a water fountain to drink from to stop him jumping on the counter waiting for someone to turn the tap on. It's because in the wild running water means it's fresher, not a stagnant pool

Prince William and David Attenborough's documentary will make you feel genuinely hopeful for planet Earth
The five-part documentary will aim to give viewers reason to hope for a brighter future

Prince William and David Attenborough will present a new five-part landmark BBC documentary series, The Earthshot Prize: Repairing Our Planet, which will aim to give viewers reason to hope for a brighter future on planet Earth.
Running from Sunday 3rd October over two weeks on BBC One and iPlayer, the groundbreaking series looks past the problems we face and instead gives an insight into the coming sustainable revolution — highlighting all the good that is being done.

Led by Prince William, founder of The Earthshot Prize, the series will discover the depth of the challenges we face, hear stories from inspiring eco activists around the world, and also meet the 15 finalists for the first ever year of the Earthshot Prize.
……………..
It was a brilliant series. I love David Attenborough, he’s an amazing man. I loved the video of him asking each of the Cambridge children what their fav animals were, it was so cute. :hee:

“Birds were flying from continent to continent long before we were. They reached the coldest place on Earth, Antarctica, long before we did. They can survive in the hottest of deserts. Some can remain on the wing for years at a time. They can girdle the globe. Now, we have taken over the earth and the sea and the sky, but with skill and care and knowledge, we can ensure that there is still a place on Earth for birds in all their beauty and variety – if we want to – and surely, we should.”
