That’s a non believer post.
I agree there are a few fake useless products but there are many that do what they claim.

My mothers Doctor recommended taking Calcium, women especially once they get to 40 as we're more susceptible to getting osteoporosis in older life
Yeah a multi vitamin and green tea tablets. Not really a supplement but i've been adding Cacao to my smoothies, that's packed full of goodness and gives some real natural energy. My endurance for cardio has almost doubled since adding a couple of tea spoons of that stuff.

Nothing wrong with that as its from a scientific informed basis and is not directly linked to profit

I've been known to steal a kid's gummy vitamin or two...
...but more generally, I'd say vitamin supplements should be taken if you know for a fact you have a specific deficiency... not just 'cos on top of a healthy diet - if you don't have a deficiency I doubt there's much point.

Yeah I always felt better after a drink of Cacao !!
I got out of the habit over Easter but I will restart tonight
Thank you !

It's recommended to take a B12 supplement if you don't eat much meat as that's our main source. I used to get B12 injections once a month when I was a vegetarian as a teenager

I've just been booked in for a 2 week course of 3 injections per week (startling on Monday), then I'll be getting an injection per week on an on-going basis. Dr told me it was dairy products not meat, but she asked if I was a Vegan. :fist:

I eat most of those all the time. Some people just don't absorb it very well, which is probably my case if I'm eating the right foods.

It is pretty hard (unless you actually don't like the taste of meat) The best places to eat out though I found was Indian Restaurants, they did pretty much every dish with just veg option so that was good. Hotel Restaurants were the worst, usually just the one veggie option which 9 times out of 10 was Risotto

Yeah must be, my mom actually had that problem with Calcium, I was saying earlier she has osteoporosis (not very badly though thankfully) but she had been taking Calcium tablets for years beforehand but the Dr said her body wasn't absorbing them very well either so she has to get injections now too

it's a doctor recommendation that anyone getting on a bit should take vitamin D at least over the winter. The reason being that it is strong sunlight that causes your body to manufacture it.
