Are you impulsive?

Have you done anything recently and been glad/sad you did it afterwards?

I was at the bus station and got talking to an Asian girl who was waiting for her boyfriend to pick her up. He'd been delayed by a traffic accident. I had half an hour to kill before my bus was due so I nipped to the takeaway round the corner and bought us both a can of pop each. The girl was so grateful and thanked me loads. She had Been waiting over an hour and was very thirsty so I was really glad I'd done it.

Yes. I do and act on impulse a lot, rightly or wrongly.

No…but I wish I was sometimes. I like to plan ahead.
My husband often says let’s go away tomorrow…but then I’m the one thinking..packing/washing…who will feed the cat and put the bins out

When I was younger, more often. These days not really, if anything I over-think any little decision :joker:.

I’m still prone to impulse buys though, especially online… and especially especially on Steam/PlayStation. I’ll drop like £60 on a game and then take 6 months to even look at it by which point it’s £20 cheaper. I bought Persona 5 at full price - which in the end I actually loved - but it took me 18 months(!) to start it and by that point it was on sale for £16.99 :hmph:.

In the past.
Especially if I had been drinking…said yes to a marriage proposal and then had to grovel when I was sober.😊

I feel like I tend to mull over things before acting generally but within certain limits I can be pretty spontaneous. But I guess there’s a certain line between spontaneous and impulsive that I don’t really like crossing.
