We had cartons delivered. I used to love my milk.
Yes, and we used to get a dry biscuit with it. We had bottles not cartons.

Yes...we had bottles. It was always warm by the time we drunk it with a thick layer of cream on top...yuk.
We used to have a system called team points. Blue team, Red team, Yellow team and Green team. The members of the team who had won the most points at the end of the week each got a jelly baby.

We did but I hated milk, I only ever took one the odd time they'd have some strawberry milks in there.

The dinner ladies at my school were like little Hitlers. My mum nearly came to blows with the head one, Mrs Worthington because she used to make my brother eat right handed and he was a leftie. She didn't believe in left handed people and used to bollock him every day. She was scarey.....but so was my mum
We had meat balls with what looked like rice sticking out but everyone said they were dead maggots

I was always taught that the left footers were the ones to watch out for.

I used to love milk time at school. Then they would ask us to nap. Which seems a bit like lazy teaching to me. Haha. my kids are given milk in the afternoon still at their school

They still have it in the early years (maybe P1 and P2?) or at least they did at my daughters school - she had to have a little carton of apple juice instead because she’s lack toast and tolerant.
