I’m in shock ..
I only started watching this series at the weekend and I’m about 5 episodes in .

I was initially shocked at how skinny the main teenage girl is .. she kinda reminded me of Karen Carpenter .

Anyways I’ve seen loads comments online today from concerned fans worried about her drastic weight loss !!

I don’t see how she could lose weight from the first series so if she’s gonna look even more malnourished then I think I’m gonna bail out now ..

I can’t understand why the series producers haven’t done something .. surely they should be concerned about her health and well-being ?

It is desperation from Netflix because they know that people don't want to watch a lot of their other output where the walkers out of TWD display more personality.

And I say this as someone that used to think Stranger Things was bottom of the barrel for Netflix, but they've managed to create Shows nowadays that only masochists would like.

I started series 4 last night and watched episode .

I was really disappointed with that episode though ... in fact if I hadn’t seen the first three series and that was the pilot episode I would have bailed out after about 30 minutes!!

That was the first time I haven’t been totally gripped !!

Hopefully things improve dramatically in series 4 Episode 2 !!

Yeah I don't agree with Thomas C on that part as Fantasy is one of it's genres so it should be far fetched to an extent imo.

If anything one of my main issues with Stranger Things as a programme is that it's too mundane/Slice Of Life for the kinda Show it's meant to be.

Exactly and I like things to at least make sense.....like she has powers so much so she can shove someone through a wall who then turns into this alien type thing and happens to then be in an upside down world.

It has some really good parts but I've found myself drifting off so much.

For me the pacing is the biggest thing that kills it for me.

More focus on whatever phenomenon they want to focus on in the season and less of the Human Drama (because to me their cast just isn't that interesting) then I'd personally be in better stead with the programme.

The guy who plays Eddie (Joseph Quinn) is English, i just heard him in a interview, i was shocked when he started speaking :joker: He was born and raised in South London. Would have never known.

Also, i love Stranger Things. This wasn't my favourite season but i still loved it. I dunno what to say really, this show just hits different. There's something about it. I could watch it over and over. I honestly don't mind the slow episodes either, at all.

10/10.

Tbf I 100% understand that.

I think for me I would've had the Show and characters be a bit like Silent Hill characters for the most part, with the Sheriff & Winona Ryder's characters being the everyday characters exploring the weird phenomenon that's happening around them.

In regards to the acting, the goofy one with braces was 100% stand out for me. He really performed in the last episode and I believed his emotion and my eyes event wet up when he was talking to the dad towards the end.

I would have expected better acting from Winona considering she's suppose to be good? I just found her character unbelievable and the silly faces she pulled which isn't acting. Very little emotion from here in scenes that required it too, couldn't even cry.

Loved her since the 90's, the "silly faces" is just her though, it how she expresses herself, you can see that in interviews with her too. She's quirky and a bit different, i love that about her

I think the reason was because the bats would have stopped Nancy Steve and Robin from the last phase, the killing of vecna. It all had gone wrong by that point anyway obviously but Eddie wasn't to know that

Also im not sure if anyone could answer this for me but it bugged me all season a major flaw in the story line.

They knew to use music to save Max because that is how the dad of One said he survived the demon.
But then later in the season it was shown that the dads story was completely made up and that the demon didnt exist.
I just didnt like how this all added up.

It was these feelings of guilt(wanting her brother to die) and trauma that Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) preyed upon in Stranger Things season 4. In fact, Max was on the verge of being killed by him when her friends played her favorite song, Kate Bush's “Running Up That Hill (A Deal with God)” and this appeared to be the thing that saved her. However, within the red smoke of Vecna’s Mind Lair, it wasn't the song itself that saved her, but the memories it conjured up. What broke through to Max was the happy, loving memories of her friends, particularly Lucas and Eleven, and these were what truly allowed her to break free of Vecna’s grasp and escape.

Also just watching the final episode again now as fancied it, I think another reason Eddie sacrificed himself is that he would have just been put in prison and had everyone hate him whether he survive or not, we saw that on his missing poster, so he didn't want to be a coward and run away he wanted to be a hero, it was a way to protect Dustin and allow the plan of killing vecna to be given the best chance
