What is Fantasy Premier League...


How to register

To play Fantasy Premier League for the first time, you must register on the FPL site.

Head over to https://fantasy.premierleague.com to register your account by submitting an email address, setting up a password and then confirming your email address.

Once you have set up your account and chosen a team name you are ready to start playing.


How to play

FPL is a game that casts you in the role of a Fantasy manager of Premier League players.

You must pick a squad of 15 players from the 2022/23 Premier League, who score points for your team based on their performances for their clubs in PL matches.

Prices are given to players based on the number of FPL points they are projected to deliver and you are limited to a budget of £100.0m for your 15-man squad.


How are points awarded?

Points are awarded to players for goals, assists, saves and clean sheets.

Players can also earn additional bonus points in Fantasy as a reward for a good performance in a match (see the Bonus Points System for more).

Your team's points for the match round or "Gameweek" will be scored by your starting XI. But if a starting player does not feature for their club in that round of matches, the points scored by the first player on your bench will automatically be counted instead.

The same process occurs if two or three starting players fail to appear.

You can also earn extra points by selecting a captain from your starting line-up. The captain's points are doubled in that Gameweek.

Sterling at Chelsea is a pretty big risk at £10m. Think i'd prefer Mount at £8m.

It's gonna be a toss of a coin between Haalaand and Kane for me i think, both £11.5. Salah or Son too. Probably Salah as Liverpool's first 7 games are very winnable. Chelsea on GW8 seem to be their only "on paper" trickier game.

You probably have to cheapen your defence (or midfield) somewhat though, but on defence you have good cheap options to draft in your team, if needed.

the sanctions basically tore the team apart with them unable to offer or negotiate new contracts meaning that the players were forced to look elsewhere. It's going to be a multi season rebuild and I doubt Tuchel will be around that long

Not for me. It was a tossup between Kane and Haaland a few days ago but I chose Kane and I’m now going to stick with him. I feel like City need to adjust a bit having Haaland in the team now because they seem to be stuck in their style of play from last season.

Had him the first few days when the game relaunched, after that he has been almost a lock.

Up until yesterday, when i briefly changed to Haaland and other Spurs cover to see how it looked (for GW2 purposes), but then i game back to my "senses" (it did not look good) and now he is a complete lock par any injuries.

and to make things more fun for myself, i got notepad and pen next to me, to basically write everything down in terms of transfers in, transfers out (i do cheat however, with the 500 million extra cash flow for first transfer season, which i more cleverly invest in 5 star scouts for my youth academy to possibly get best youth product there can be, and more like 2 or 3 major signings and if i have to stick to some objectives like 3 asian signings)

In that instance they would have had the 3 Arsenal lads plus Zinchenko at City and then did not change when he was sold to Arsenal. So the next transfer they use must be an arsenal player.

I already feel quite defeated in not having Haaland now. From what i've seen, those with Nunez don't tend to have Haaland as well. Plenty of my eggs in Nunez's basket now. Surely Klopp wont be silly enough not to start him from now on???

I have Haaland scoring 40+ in all competitions !

He’s scored 87 in his last 88 competitive games ..

People are forgetting that he is not going to the World Cup so he will get a three week holiday and then be raring to go again after Christmas !!

Instead of ummming and ahing i've just done it. Haaland and Dasilva for Son and Taylor. Taken a 4 point hit. But also now have 0.4 in the bank, and a playing player for a non playing player.

Losing 4 points this early on is probably better in the long run. It's also a tricky game week for Spurs and Chelsea players, it had to be now.
