Right at this point in your life, what do you reckon your 13 year old self would think?
I think my 13 year old self would be proud that I drive, that I am in my own house and married. But probably would have been shocked that by age 32 I had a 7 year old, a 5 year old and a 2 year old and why didn't you do more with your life before you had all of that. Not that I have regrets as such but I know my young teenage self would have done

Proud that I got through a mental health breakdown, lost 7 stone, have a nice car, have done well in my career, gone traveling. I think they'd question why I'm not doing more with my life and tell myself to get out there more, find a hobby, find a partner and live life more rather than sitting around when I'm not working and being on here

What do you manage?
13 year olds are dumb so not sure it matters. When you're 13 I think you expect to have everything figured out in your 20s and for adulthood to be great then you grow up and realise life can be hard and stressful

I mean let's be honest here, if life was that great would we spend a lot of our time on here?
I certainly wouldn't. Big world out there

I only spend time here when I'm at work :fan:
If I don't have time to ****post online then my life is too busy and has got worse

Me eitherto be fair - I have made some **** choices, but each one have led me somewhere or I've learned from them. 13 year old me might have given my mum a less stressful time and appreciate her more before it was too late (but then I wouldn't have had half the fun as that 13 year did )

Mmmmmm
I spent nearly twenty years in finance and I for a large part of that period I kinda convinced myself that my life was ‘on pause’ ... and in the long run - it would be worth sticking at it ...getting through it so to speak.
In hindsight, of course , you can’t simply pause your life - they were probably my best years and were basically wasted ..
That said - we raised a young family during that same period so maybe ‘wasted’ is the wrong term

Tbh I've probably achieved less in life than my 13 year old self would've probably wanted.
But my 13 year old self would probably be shocked at how I don't lose my temper at a drop of a hat anymore.:joker:

Mmmm I do recall vividly how my old grandad used to say to me as very young boy ... “ honesty and hard work are the key to success ! “
Nice idea but woefully wide of the mark
That said ... I do sleep ( badly ) with a very clear conscience
