Ukraine not able to.
[The Eurovision Song Contest will take place
in the UK next year, it has been confirmed.
The show's organisers decided the event
could not be held in the winning
country, Ukraine, due to the ongoing
war following Russia's invasion.
The UK came second in this year's contest,
so the European Broadcasting Union (EBU)
opened talks with the BBC.
It's not yet known which city will host,
but cities including Glasgow and Manchester
have expressed an interest.]

with Ukrainian elements yes, and tbh Ukraine should also be an AQ in next years final, other hosting rights they do deserve in all fairness
Nicky91

we might get one extra country next year
Kosovo if they are accepted as a new EBU member by the end of the year
one ally for Albania although i hope they will be fair and not just randomized scoring a la Belarus pls
one who Serbia dislikes, but for serbia's sake i hope Montenegro stay with us
maybe 40 or 41 countries since there's always Kazakhstan mystery the big when EBU are going to invite them ala Australia and we do miss a big country like Russia now, so we need something else to fill that gap in terms of viewer public numbers

Slovakia also one who are yet to say anything regarding a comeback, they got a new director-general now (whom has a transgender son who lives in prague, well known LGBT+ activist)
they will say anything by next month as for their final decision

who do we want as host presenters
i'm hoping for 3 british and 1 ukrainian (prefer it to be Jamala so we also have one ukrainian interval sorted as well, whom can do a medley of her work + covers of popular non-esc ukrainian songs)

hoping we get Kazakhstan debuting with a filth bop like LoVa
but idk if political correct europe are ready for that :fan:
Kazakhi's will always get my votes, am a loyal kazakhi stan already in junior eurovision, their music scene is just divine and so much variety (in terms of Q-Pop, slutpop, punk rock, alt rock)

my presenters would be
main show: Graham Norton, Katrina Leskanich, Robbie Williams
backstage presenter, interviewer: Vick Hope
and in terms of the ukrainian connection, well a moment with Jamala in all 3 shows (semi 1, semi 2, grand final) while we wait for the results and people can vote
+ also lots of blue-yellow ukrainian flag colours everywhere in the ''green room'' turning it into a blue-yellow room
blue-yellow carpet ceremony idea too i guess, and carpet ceremony presenters i'd want: AJ Odudu, Ruslana, Verka Serduchka, HRVY for those honours
Nicky91
26-07-2022, 01:31 PM
and also no pressure for UK in terms of carpet ceremonies, when this years for me personally was best one yet, with perfect location ever at a castle and such a beautiful garden

Why do they celebrate carpets?

Why do they celebrate carpets?
they don't
it's a sort of opening ceremony for all participants (artists, other delegation members of each nation) for a press photo moment, interviews with media, and behind closed doors in the evening a bit of a show for them to just relax and enjoy, and also for them a opportunity to become friends among each other
also where the mayor of the host city is present next to EBU executive supervisor
