Under Covid-19
The Government funded food banks
Now many are too close

[Food banks across the nation are facing
a perfect storm as they try to help the
growing number of hungry Americans
amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Millions of people newly unemployed
mean food banks, food pantries and
soup kitchens are seeing a flood of
new clients appearing at their doors,
just as supplies are dwindling
because of growing demand from
consumers stuck at home.]

In the USA it far worse
they have no free NHS
One mother is skipping meals
to keep her heart meds bought
by a Group that bulk buys them.

tories are already floating the idea of charging us for hospital stays. Pretty soon, we might not have an NHS either.
Serious question, don't you feel any shame when you see how much the tories have exploded poverty in this country? The party of "we need t look after our own" have failed miserably to look after their own.

It's free at the moment, but not much longer if tories get their way. Do you feel ashamed about tory poverty?

What do you think about tory-forced food bank use in the UK?

Probably the aftermath of Blair's iraq catastrophe sending hundreds of 1000s fleeing to our shores.

It may well remain free (at the point of use) but that doesn't mean it's not being privatised. If I understand it correctly, private providers will be treating people, and sending the "bill" to the NHS? At a glance it would seem people are effectively getting treated for free, but when it's profit-driven the priorities won't be the same.
