I think so - especially considering that 'despise' is a pretty strong word to use, given the fact that you don't really know Liam.

He was speaking on behalf on the group. They were all blatantly thinking what he was but he was the only one who had the bottle to step foward and let her know. Got to be said he did a good job.

After charley failing the task and saying "I don't care i'm going to eat the food and drink the drink anyway" i'd be bloody annoyed at her stinking attitude..
Good for liam saying whats on his mind..charley made it an arguement.

I dont think you should despise anyone in there anywasy. People act a little crazy when they are confined for weeks like that. I undurstand not being fond of him, but despise? cmon man!!!
Liam did provoke Charley, but I think it was just a statement so the other housemates start defending themselves to her.

He was just annoyed at charleys cockey attitude to failing the task.Liam and gerry actually beat charley in an arguement she wanted to finish it in the end.

Are you telling me you've never been annoyed with someone when they are talking to someone else and not wanted to jump in to disagree with what they were saying?

He had the right to get things off his chest.Charley's attitude stunk.

I'd find it very difficult not to argue with Charley in that house to be perfectly honest. I don't despise Liam nor do I think he "engineered" the argument.

He's obviously completely pissed off with her attitude. I'm amazed the rest of the HMs haven't walked out of this years show to be honest. I'd rather do a series of the Japanese gameshow Endurance than live in that house with her.

I think he quite blatantly engineered the argument, and he made his intentions pretty clear in the diary room. He was clearly p'd off about having to wear the costume, and kicked off on Charley to release his frustrations. I think he's a bit of a joke, to be honest. He's one person in the diary room, yet someone else entirely in front of the other hm's. He doesn't merit comparisons with The Usual Suspects, but Special Officer Doofy is rather apt. All of his bluster in the diary room came to nothing anyway, because she walked away from him yet still left him looking rather pathetic. And then sitting back to let Gerry try to finish off what he wasn't capable of doing himself? Please. When Charley starts an argument, then in the main she deserves all that she gets. But that was nothing more than blatant bullying, whether he failed miserably or not. He used Charley as a pawn to try and ingratiate himself with the other hm's, and that's nothing more than the act of a coward.

I think liam got involed in an arguement with charley because he was fed up with her cockey attitude towards the task. And what he said in the diary room was just a quick answer to bigbrothers question.

You could be right but not a coward instead a game player.

Takes on Charley to make himself popular with the other housemates and maybe aviod being nominated as a reward......

This "feud" that Liam's got with Charley has manifested since the day he came in, before he even got chance to know her, so I think it's a definite "card" he's holding to help his cause where appropriate. He's kept it up his sleeve for some time now, but he played it tonight, and played it quite wisely, in that he withdrew from the argument before it got in full flow. It was a bit like someone dipping thier toe in water to test the temperature, Liam does fancy his chances with Charley in an argument, but I think he's biding his time and waiting for the right conditions before he goes to battle with the undisputed house champion. Give the boy credit, he's building up courage to take on the dragon, but if he doesnt play it right, he could fall like so many before him, which is likely to lose him support, considering his tentative approach to something which Charley puts no thought or preparation into whatsoever.

I still like Liam and think he is a decent character in there. I would rather see him there than quite a few of the others. I don't want him to win but I don't dispise him either.

Yes you are..
finally someone to stand up the the crap that is charley ....
its not as if charley is most peaceful person in the world that people pick on her to have arguments....
liam just had enough...he was already talking about how ppl were protecting charley in the diary room before that.....i think he just thought that he had to take the first step...
