Well they haven't announced it but I'm sure that they will have had a deal with some studio to host it in place before they confirmed that the show is back.

The original C4 show was up and running within months of it being announced, and that included the audition process (initially via submitted videos, I believe).

Hopefully with the shorter run we see a smaller cast and a return to more inclusive storytelling. Ideally for a 6 week series 10 to 12 HM’s is more than enough.

No word on whether the show will include live feeds. I would think that they’d be a great feature for ITVX but I’m not certain see it that way. No doubt ITVX will just be another way to watch the episodes/catch-up.

The show isn’t due to premiere until this time next year. The house location will come in due course. No doubt at this point they’re still scouting locations or at most working on the early stages of council proposals. As stated previously it only takes a matter of months to build something from the ground up. We may have some idea by years end what their plans are.

I actually really liked having the last C5 series in September/October so I don't mind if that's the route they go. All that matters is that ITV do it justice and don't make the same mistakes as Channel 5...

If they follow a similar format to Love Island it should be fine. I really like the cliffhangers. It keeps you guessing and you can't wait to watch the next episode.

BBUK has never lacked creative talent at its helm and we’ve had a revolving door of creatives that have worked on iconic series return to produce absolute garbage. What’s most important is who’s calling the shots at ITV and whether the vision they have for the show can be successfully executed.

The only really bad thing about BB7 (apart from the winner being obvious from the start) was that it went on too long.

That won't be a problem with this new show.

In the time that I have been gone, I actually went back to watch some older series, and I do have a feeling that they’re going to try and push the reboot more towards the social experiment side of things (BB1-BB4). I also don’t mind it lasting for six weeks because it is the norm with RTV these days, and ideally that’s the longest I’d want to stay in that house as well. :laugh: Though obviously for the length to really work, it’s best that they should just stick to the launch night cast only.

I think it will be more along the lines of BB19 than it will be to comparable to the early series. It’s definitely going to have a Love Island style sleek production values and the way they use the word twist in the press release leads me to believe there’s going to be some sort of competitive game play element.

Actually yes that seems more plausible. Though regardless of what ITV are going to do with the series, I do hope they don’t stray too far from the show’s main concept, the idea of which can still be appealing to today’s audiences if done right. The direction C5 went with BB19, while still slightly flawed, was promising enough to pitch BB to other channels.

I hope it's not Love Island 2.0 where everyone is really pretty, in shape, and 18-30. Real variety of housemates made earlier BB's interesting.

Not many will remember this but BB when it was on C4 they used to broadcast livestreams for most of the day/night. It was good as you could watch the housemates interact etc totally unedited...it gave you a real idea what was going on. If it is to be pay-per-view I'd have no complaints paying for that.

The producers have already been in discussion with Marcus about returning. If they've not talked to Rylan does that mean that they are sounding out other potential presenters or that they are leaving that decision to later. Potential presenters may have their diaries filled up already for the proposed dates.
