Given the crisis we are in, its not really time to be abstaining from doing your job, yes I get that he is pissed at being ousted, but it is not the public who lent him their vote or indeed voted from him anyway that got rid, hopefully if he ever turns up again people will remember this?

Yes he is meeting the Electric and Gas company Leaders
ready for 6 of sept
New PM etc. takes over
him being booted out hasn't helped, but over the summer the government seems to disappear anyway. Remember they all disappeared without trace last summer when it all went to **** in Afghanistan

He is on record as saying he will take no action and that it is a decision for the next PM

Yes
So End the PM Race Early.
Add up all the numbers
online and in Post.
End it All next Wednesday
If some are Angry as they can not decide
TOUGH TITTY
Truss isn't going to do anything and Sunak will do very little for "everyone" so it's pointless. Very little will change from what has already been published

Truss last night live on TV 5PM
said she rules nothing out.
It's almost like it was a bad idea to oust a Prime Minister in the middle of several global crises

That's a great comfort to families struggling.

Yes it has gone on for far too long, not sure why they needed so much time especially when they got down to the final 2.
It is the Chancellor and the Business Minister who are meeting the energy companies, Bojo is not involved
I believe Kwasi Karteng is going to be Trusses Chancellor as well when she becomes PM

whatever the rights and wrongs he is still PM and still being paid as PM, so he should be doing the job of PM instead he appears to have gone on a 3 month holiday, the only reason he stayed on so long was so he wouldn't have a shorter term than Teresa May, so self serving to the end

said she rules nothing out.
However rarely saying what she rules IN.
Her vague dismissal of crisis issues should be worrying.
However it's how she's been all her political life.
Chopping and changing, dedicated to one thing then dropping it like a stone when it suits.
Even voting FOR something as a Cabinet Minister she thought was wrong, didn't believe in yet voted for it to hold onto her Ministerial post and extra salary.
Nothing to admire there.

I think Rishi would do more, she is just banging on about reversing NI and the Green Levy

Truss talked about following the conservative way, and that has never been to hand cash out to anyone (other than their pals)
Arista seems to be besotted with the woman, she can do no wrong in his eyes

I'm not sure what the alternative is though, if he quit immediately and we had a caretaker they would probably shy away from big policy decisions as well. Maybe the leadership contest should have been sped up but there'd also be people complaining then that there wasn't enough time for the candidates to make their pitch and for people to decide

Arista is a rw news junkie and they've all coalesced around Truss, so it's pretty understandable why he might feel like that about her.
The price rises wont take effect until November so there is plenty time to sort something out. However, as I said earlier, nothing will change anyway. Truss isn't going to give anyone any immediate extra cash

Crisis over. £400 and he urged them to chill out. He wants to break laws when it's an issue he cares about, and here he is doing the equivalent of a strongly worded letter to the times.

PM turns up for meeting, what a hero.instead of taking his ball and sulking, he could make some tough decisions in these last few months and go out with the peoples backing, okay it might be overridden by Liz or Rishi when they take the helm but at least the people who voted for him could see that he tried on their behalf and he could go out on a high, instead he will be remembered as the PM who abdicated on his duties to the end

to be honest, he abdicated his duties from the moment he became leader of the tory party. He always pretended to be very busy, but rarely was

that is what I meant, how many COBRA meetings did he avoid in the lead up to Covid lockdowns
It’s kinda weird that everyone wanted to get rid of him as he was supposedly incompetent yet as soon as things start getting edgy .. he’s to blame for not being in charge

Who is currently in charge?
Is he PM
Is he taking his salary
Would you accept a work colleague downing tools during a 3 month notice period?

I don’t know the answers to any of the above questions..
