It's only a 50 second video. Interesting. I also said i believe in equality for all, in all the BLM threads, but i was sceptical about the organisation as a whole, and some of the violence it promoted.

The guy in the video seems pissed. BLM earned Millions of $, where did the majority of it go?

the leadership of BLM have been shown to be dodgy and corrupt af. As an organisation it is highly flawed

Yeah they're pretty much just conmen, the only good thing about them is their name.

And that in itself is a minor stroke of genius, as you can't say you disagree with them without sounding like you're saying that black lives don't matter.

The DOJ report notes on page 44 that Johnson “made multiple statements to the media immediately following the incident that spawned the popular narrative that Wilson shot Brown execution-style as he held up his hands in surrender.” In one of those interviews, Johnson told MSNBC that Brown was shot in the back by Wilson. It was then that Johnson said Brown stopped, turned around with his hands up and said, “I don’t have a gun, stop shooting!” And, like that, “hands up, don’t shoot” became the mantra of a movement. But it was wrong, built on a lie.

Every org with money flowing through it has corruption. Take Steve Bannon, he fleeced trump supporters with a "build the wall" donation scam that he used for his own gain.

The BLM movement wasn't built off one incident either, it's the collection of murders that the police have been doing for years.

Every organisation is corrupt.

****ing wake up ffs.

More of them should be called out for it. And really, are some hutlers exploiting the questionable actions of the police much worse than megacorps who exploit their lowest paid workers while destroying the environment?

But this thread is only about one of these examples.

I would agree with this.

No matter what kinda organisation you're thinking of, there will always be something dodgy going on.

BLM is 100% BS. Hands up, don't shoot? More like don't try to bumrush a cop after knocking off a convenience store. As an American I've only experienced racism from Native Americans who called me Eurotrash and threatened me and made it impossible to hang out with Native friends without being harassed, plus the usual anti-Semitism that comes from most people, including going to a party and having everyone make a big sand castle swastika. The real racism in this country and the world in general is absolutely ignored and it sickens me.

Those native Americans must have had a right mind **** when the African slaves started appearing.

I've been watching videos where black people are asking the same questions the guy is in the OP.

At it's core BLM is correct, the message it was sending was sound. But i can't help but think now that as soon as the money started rolling in, the founders and those around them motivation changed.

It was a lie from the beginning started by black supremacist self-professed trained marxists with ties to the Jew-hating Nation of Islam. They rampaged through cities causing enormous damage and death throughout 2020, no social distancing or lockdowns, yet the NYC mayor endorsed it and instead saved his ire for Jews trying to go to synagogue, funerals, school, etc. We used to believe you judge a person by the content of their character, but now it's all about skin color for the BLM crowd.

What's "the real racism" you spoke of in your previous post?

Anti-Semitism is the most prevalent and socially acceptable because people label them rich, white oppressors. Anti-Asian racism is rampant, with it much harder for them to get accepted to universities because there are too many Asians, not enough black people and Latinos for the powers that be. Especially older Asians are increasingly victims of violent public attacks in major cities like NYC and San Francisco. Anti-white racism is de rigeur for the left and totally socially acceptable on TV, newspapers, you name it. Public schools teach white kids they are privileged and that America exists to perpetuate white supremacy. Federal programs such as one to assist farmers were only made available to non-white people. My particular region of the country is home to a lot of Native Americans and it's not safe for a white person to even visit friends on the reservations. Defunding of police has led to an explosion of crime in black communities and they have suffered the most extreme learning loss of any students in the country since the pandemic began because of over-the-top lockdowns that lasted too long in major cities. Latinos are having their culture and language attacked by usually non-Hispanic leftists who insult them by calling them "latinx" and trying to change the basic grammar of their language. Democrats assume Latinos are a shoe-in vote for them because they assume Latinos support illegal immigration, but they have as many diverse opinions on the topic as anyone. There is a serious problem of setting low expectations for Latinos and black people and just assuming you don't have to really listen to their concerns or find solutions because they are a reliable blue vote.

The narrative pushed by media and society paints a totally false picture of the reality on the ground. It's a lot more complex. The current obsession with identity politics is tearing our country apart and making people more racist, more close-minded, more intolerant.

Life experiences don't come into it in this case, it sounds like you want to ignore the facts of the situation simply to perpetuate the story?

Life experiences have everything to do with it in-as-far as we’re completely-different people with an intrinsically-different way of viewing social politics in general and at the end of the day that’s fair-game. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand where I’m coming from.

Then let's boil it down to a simple question - do you think we should disregard the facts surrounding his death?

We’re never going to correspond on this issue so there’s no point me giving any further responses. You have a logical mind but there are sociocultural nuances you mightn’t be aware of.

I’m actually not taking this as a bait-post because you’ve calmed-down on that front lately and what you’re saying in this thread is in-line with your authentic personal sensibilities and that’s fine but like I said there’s no point me doing anything other than capping my replies from this point onwards.
