im not surprised, i don't think any manager is safe if they get 3 or 4 iffy results in a row. He was so supportive of Chelsea when they were sanctioned last year, but of course the new owners dont give a crap about that

I would of at least gave him until the world cup. Looks like this new owner wants instant success. This was always gonna be a transitional season anyway. I think it's way too hasty.

I think so too, I think they might live to regret it, seems like Poch is in the frame ....I mean he was so successful at PSG

i think the owners simply didn't like him and jumped at the first opportunity they got

Mauricio Pochettino: 11/8
Graham Potter: 11/4
Brendan Rodgers: 5/1
Zinedine Zidane: 14/1
Marcelo Bielsa, Roberto Martinez: 16/1

I think he did a bit of a Bournemouth manager at his post match interview last night, saying he couldn't understand how the players were so bad

If they want to see decent football for a change then they should get Potter or Rodgers

Pity as I wanted Potter for England

Potter would be a good choice, but i don't think he is a big enough name

Not good at all. He's just above average at best. Yeah he has lose ties with Chelsea when we worked under Jose a million years ago, but no thanks

So winning the Champions league, club world cup and the super cup is not enough.

Definitely a personality clash I think

Pochettino is another under achiever. He wouldn't last a season at Chelsea imo.

Gawd knows what we're gonna do?!!!

Well, i see us paying Brighton a hefty sum for his services. I don't see him being able to turn the offer of Chelsea down. It would make a nice change us going for someone like Potter. How he'll fair i have no idea.

Christ

Potter in charge of that squad will be frightening !!

Maybe he will transform Sterling into a flying right full back like Lamptey

Agreed, not because of him, because he'd get about 5 minutes to have them competing with city or he's out. He doesn't have a reputation to insulate him.

Even most Chelsea fans expected this to be a "get top 4 and see what we can do in the cups" kinda season. Hoping to get a good balance with the team, and having the new players settle in and gel was the main goal. Then challenge for the title next season. The more i think about this the more pissed off i am tbh.

I wouldn't mind Potter, but "destined to fail" would be an apt title if he were appointed.

Chelsea are a bit like Man U were last season, not as bad, but certainly not performing as they should. I think this is the modern game, the players just switch off and think of the money rolling in to their bank accounts

Gutted as I really like Thomas and he is one of the few managers in the prem who shows a bit passion

yes, i liked Tuchel. People quickly forget how he took Lampard's failure and transformed chelsea into a team that won the champions league in the same season. The guy is a legend

This seems like a hasty decision and I can see this backfire massively.

Trust me, Chelsea fans wont forget Tuchel, or Di Matteo. Both led us to the Holy Grail.

Sacking Tuchel was a bad decision. But watching us recently, we've been so poor, so hard to watch. Not even "dull" like Jose's first stint, because we did play quite dull domestically, but we still got the results.

What about poor Billy Gilmour … fabulous young midfielder who was never given a chance by Tuchel so he agreed to join Brighton - lured there by Potter who will be the new Chelsea manager !!!

To me I don't get how they think that Graham Potter is gonna do any better with those players.

I think Chelsea may have a BSHL on their hands with the new Chairman.

I had an idea for a new football prediction game called 'The Sack Race'.

Way it would work is forum members would predict the next Premier League manager to lose their job, after each sacking.

It feels a bit cynical mind you.

In all seriousness I actually think this might be a possibility.

But I'll say Steven Gerrard when Leicester crush them on the weekend.

After that Liverpool performance tonight, especially in the first half, Klopp is surely at squeaky bum time :oop:
