lovely series so far

last night i watched episode 3

very enjoyable scenes with Auntie M (Medusa) also nice hearing Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do) from Christopher Cross at the end of the ep :love: love that song also the soundtrack btw is same composer as for The Walking Dead (Bear McCreary) shows how versatile he is


anyways, comparing this series to the films, not bad acting work either from these teens

The series was renewed for a second season in February 2024, which will adapt the second book of the series, The Sea of Monsters, and is set to be released in 2025.

looking most forward to Courtney B Vance as the replacement for the late Lance Reddick as Zeus, do think he is a good choice to also decently pay tribute to Reddick, and Courtney might seem more lovable but he can also be intense when he needs to be, fun fact he is Angela Bassett's husband btw whom himself also got quite many film roles in his career, like he played aretha franklin's father



and also looking forward, how season 2 is about Sea of Monsters

episode 1 was very meh, not a lot going on, very much more to get us to know what this season will be about, the golden fleece, it does look better than the films though



however episode 2 that is more the start of the season for me personally
the carriage racing was good fun especially with the flying monsters and their main weakness being noise :fan: and our heroes (Percy, Annabeth, Tyson) on their way to the sea of monsters, which lies in the bermuda triangle obviously, but i'm sure Tantalus will also have his own team sent there, led by Clarisse :think:
