BIG BROTHER ANNOUNCES SURPRISE DOUBLE EVICTION

Today, Big Brother announced to the nine remaining housemates that as a twist in the normal proceedings, two people will be evicted from the house this Friday 20 June.

This week, three or more housemates with the most number of nominations will face the public vote, with two of them being evicted on Friday. Later today, the housemates will be given one hour’s notice before being called to the diary room to make their nominations. Big Brother will announce the names of those facing eviction this week on Tuesday.

Tania read out the announcement Big Brother had given to the housemates. On hearing the news, everyone gasped and Tania said, “this is bad” and then continued to tell the housemates she “doesn’t understand.” The rest of the housemates explained what this means while Cameron, Nush and Jon sat silently in shock.

On Friday 20 June, Channel 4 will screen three LIVE Eviction Night Specials, following four days of public voting. During the regular 8.30pm show, DAVINA McCALL will announce the name of the housemate with the most number of votes. The voting lines will then reopen for viewers to vote for the second person to leave the house. During the 10pm show, the person with the most number of votes will leave the house and towards the end of this programme, Davina will announce the name of the second person to leave the house this week. In a change to the regular weekly proceedings, an additional show will be screened LIVE on Channel 4 at 11pm, during which time the second and last eviction of the night will take place.

I just watched them being told by Big Brother:shocked::shocked:
Tania looks gutted:shocked::shocked:

What a stunner ! Why are channel 4 doing this though is it because suddenly the knives are out for Tania and there only hope of getting a guy out is to take two out.

Personally I think it will be Fed, Ray, Cameron and Jon up with Fed and Cameron to go.

It will definitely make it interesting on Friday.

I really hope Fed does go this week, I think he is sure to be nominated again and am pretty sure the public will vote him out this time.

Not Cameron though JayJay, I can't see him being nominted and, as I like him, if he is I hope the public won't vote him out.

Persionally I hope that Tania is the second to go this week, I don't think it is going to happen though.

I think jon can survive when one person gets evicted each week - I'm not sure he can survive two people :bawling:

Imagine, if he survives!

This is really starting to liven things up now isn't it :colour:

I thought that about J0n but did not want to say it as I did not want to tempt fate.

I will just have to keep my fingers crossed.

Well, it's a bit cruel of Big Brother to spring that sort of "surprise" on the housemates. However, it makes for an exciting night on Friday, doesn't it?

What if only 2 housemates are nominated, though?

Even if two housemates have a lot of the votes and the rest have one each they will all be up for nomination.

That will be interesting.

This means two more girls will be going on Friday

If I was a bloke in there, with less scruples, I would do what I could to make sure both nominations were for girls as they are easy pickings in this elimination gameshow.

As for Federico, forget it, the "dreamiest piece of eyecandy" is fireproof, no matter what he says.

Despite what you're saying sticks (and I do partly agree with what you're saying, except northern girls want to cut various bits of his body away from him), wouldn't it now be rather ironic if he were evicted?

Personally, I have no idea how he's even eye-candy. The guy can't shave, his body is nothing compared to that of the other guy's, his voice is grating, his hair is just bizarre and he certainly doesn't look after his skin. I don't really find any of the guy's 'eye candy' this year, and I have a feeling I'm not the only person finding that. Certain attributes of them mixed together would make one rather nice looking fella, but as it is there isn't one. Of course, Fed is attractive to certain circles, but I don't think it's *that* wide spread as you think, Sticks.

The problem is that those circles have been demographically targeted. Those circles are more inclined to hit the re-dial button, as my research on the C4 forum revealed

This is, unfortunetly, true. However, Endermol never, ever win their game like that and I doubt they ever will. The problem with the methods that Endermol apply in their selection and 'demographic targetting' is that with 12 housemates a set number of the public will fall in love with a particular housemate, whist the remaining members of the public will not. Statistically speaking the probability that a 50% share of the vote will originate from one group of people is exceptionally low.

Let's say Federico has a 20% die-hard following, each one votes 3 times to evict the same member of the house, leading to a 60% share of the vote providing that only 50% of the remaining non-Federico-loving viewers vote for Federico to be evicted ONLY once. (ie, a 40% vote from those that are non-die-hard-Federico fans.) Realistically, will that ever happen? I doubt it a lot. Looking through previous opinions on this forum alone, there's a rough number that will redial at least once.

Looking at previous nominations, the Federico 'fan club' would be out numbered by a great deal in the latter stages of the game.

Yes! By the end of Friday they will be down to one female in the house. The remaining one will be swinging from the BB tree in the garden:laugh::laugh:

Does this mean they will be adding a new housemate later.........:spin2:

NO!

It means it is an all male final this year, after the guys, with the aid of the YEF's boot out all the girls first.

Then they can have a really good time with out the girls moaning at them

I think its a great idea,I said last year I wished we could have a chance of getting rid of the unwanted housemates part way through:thumbs:
I think it would be best if all the housemates were up for eviction then at least the two we least like won't get through to the last day which makes the final day full of people we want to be there.
Imagine if this had happened in past years maybe a certain couple may have stayed together until the end:love::love:

and I wonder if there will be a new housemate to make the numbers up?:conf::conf:
its quite exciting:hello::hello:

I do think Feds time has come, I can't actually believe that BB would want to leave 1 girl on her own 4 weeks before the end of the show. As I thoght earlier I think they want as many people up for eviction as possible.

Oh my god! i don't know whether i like this idea or not? I think Fed and Tania might go? But this is a random guess x WOW! So this either means that we are back to a three person last week like the first or will we have a new housemate??? xxxxx

Just what was needed to shake them up they were all getting so complacent.

Looking forward to hearing the nominations.

I do hope they dont put someone else in - it would stir things up, but would it be fair on the person they put in.

Well done BB - give them something to actually worry about.:thumbs:

In theory this sounds like a good idea, but I wonder how they will handle the evictions on Friday night. Will both come out together or will they be separately announced?

I don't think I would like to "share" the eviction, the subsequent press, the appearances on RISE and BBLB etc with someone else.

:conf:

Not sure whether I think this is a good thing or not. I'll wait and see who's up for eviction before I decide.

They will be separatly annouced - read Lee's Press Release at start of thread xxx

That's a very good point, Kaph.

Initially I thought the double eviction was a great idea - something to really shake up the housemates.

But you're absolutely right - every evicted housemate up until now (apart from the final 3 or 4) have been allowed their own 'moment of fame'. It will be a bit unfair on the two who are evicted together this Friday having the share the limelight.

Still can't wait for Friday, though! :colour:

It aint gonna happen

you underestimate the power of the YEF's to save their precious eyecandy. I have seen their posts elsewhere and posts from those in the know.

My prediction is still for two girls to leave on friday with the last girl to leave next week.

This is an all male final

If you think back to BB2, the last six were Dean, Brian, Josh, Paul, Helen and Elizabeth. 4 boys, 2 girls.

In BB3, the last six were Alex, Jonny, PJ, Tim, Jade and Kate. 4 boys, 2 girls again.

In BB4 there are currently 9 housemates left. Discounting the possibility of someone coming in (at the moment we don't know if it will happen) then it seems likely that there will be 2 boys and 1 girl evicted this week and next week to leave us with the familiar 4 boys and 2 girls pattern.

There is therefore a higher probability of two boys going this week. Possibly it might be a girl and a boy. But the odds are against two girls going.

It all depends on the nominations now - can't wait to hear who is up!

Story from Ananova

Jon believes Big Brother decided to evict two contestants this week because the housemates are boring.

Big Brother bosses had promised to introduce a new element to the show in an attempt to spice things up.

Mulling over the reasons behind the double eviction, Jon said: "We are so boring they have got to do something to mix it up."
***********************************************
I wouldn't say the housemates are ALL boring, but quite a few are clearly paranoid about putting a foot wrong in case they get nominated. Consequently they just agree with whatever's said and done . . . . . . . the name Nush springs readily to mind!

Up until now the evictee has had the limelight all to themselves and rightly so - I just feel sorry for anyone who is evicted with either Tania or Fed - they will definitely hog any limelight that is going.

And Jon is soo right on the whole they are a very boring lot - so aware of what is going on - this might shake them up.

but they probarly have planned this from the start - i mean they would have had to plan the extra programme with Channel 4 scheldulers ages ago xxx

I want to be one of the first to say this... but so far, you're wrong
