Yeah it looks okay from that trailer, first I've heard of it though.

Pinhead seemed to be a drag queen or something? :joker: though I guess the Cenobites always look a bit fetishie.

Hope it's not driven by annoying jump scares like a lot of modern horror.

I read that Clive Barker's original character for "pinhead" or the Hell Priest, in his novel The Hellbound Heart was supposed to be almost "genderless". So the casting seems spot on.

I really hope it isn't either as far as constant jump scares and the MASSIVE over use of phones and modern tech!

Fair. I like Clive Barker books and love (most of) the Hellraiser films, but somehow the book passed me by!

Even the worst of the Hellraiser films didn't really rely on jump scares. The only real one I can think of is when the journalist lady is in Bucharest and the dead body jerks.

The Hell Priest, and Candyman are superb characters.

I recommend The Hellbound Heart!

2 was weird ish, had plot holes. But 1 and 2 are the only ones you need to see really.

Also, the uncut version of 2 is absolutely brutal

Not a drag queen, a trans man, very different

To be fair, drag queens and trans-identifying men are both males who dress as women, it's the reasons that are different.
