Eddie is a shortened version of Edward or Edina though so Eddie still works

But not very feminine. I don't understand why some women give themselves blokes names like Stevie and Charlie.:hehe:

Why can't women shorten their names, why do men own the shortened version? Charlie is also the short for Charlotte

Like I say, I prefer the full feminine names. But I suppose that's sexist.

Let's get this straight (if you pardon the pun). Eddie Izzard is a 100 per cent woman who happens to look like a bloke in a dress and wearing make-up. NEXT!!

Have you ever heard her interviewed? She identifies as a woman and personally uses the she/her pronouns but has no problem with people using he/him. She is who she is buy is not bothered if people address her as Eddie or Susie. She has a pretty healthy attitude to who and what she is and is harming no-one by being that person

Poor, poor Sheffield. They deserve better.

Calling him she is quite ridiculous Annie But I know he is not precious about how he is addressed to his credit

Eddie Gave great interview

Agree with Annie. I heard Eddie on Talksport breakfast this week and if Ally McCoist and Gabby Agbonlahor are able to call her 'she' with no difficulty then it shouldn't be too hard for the rest of us!

you would only use she/him when talking about "them" not talking to them, so i don't get why its in any way relevant

Aren't we all supposed to be calling him Suzy now?

He/she/they :joker: was on the BBC, talking about his/her they new book/tour/political ambitions. :joker:

I can't deny it, but I like him/her/they: not based on the comedy but I'll never forget when he/she/they did his/her/they's first 28 marathons in 28 days. That was an awesome achievement for anyone but I think he/she/they was about 50 at the time. Eddie confessed to not being a runner, only when he/she/they used to run for the bus.:joker:

But all this is he a he or a she, and why is he or she still called Eddie when he or she wears a dress. I mean good luck to him/her/they, he -she - alien from space/lampstand should wear whatever he/she/they wants. They're only clothes but for Gawd's sake, Eddie is not trans, but probably gay and likes to wear women's clothes.

That's it. :p I laughed though when the BBC announcer said 'she' when referring to Eddie.:joker::shocked:

Well Eddie can be short for Edina ,but yeah I find it difficult to see them as a woman. I still think of Eddie as the cross dressing comedian .

Why is he so famous anyways .. is it due to his links with David Bowie or something !

I can only recall one half decent song by him ( A Perfect Day) and I’ve heard loads of better cover versions since
