I’m using the most-recent situation in America as the anecdote in my title but generally I just thought it’d be interesting to see what folk like us in Britain & Ireland think of abortion in this era and if anyone’s opinions have been modified by other countries’ approaches.

Pro-choice. Always was. Preferably as early as possible.

No. Only that the list of people who I think should have been aborted has grown longer

Please stop calling Ireland the British Isles

Please stop calling Ireland the British Isles

But the thing is Ireland is technically part of the British Isles (obviously not Britain, just the Isles) and I did actually care to list island semi-separately. I’ve got to be honest (and I’m saying this with the most respectful intentions), I wish we’d stop having this discussion. I thought we’d kind of been through this on good enough terms.

Okay, I’ll edit the O.P. to say “Britain & Ireland” but in future I might use the British Isles to say the equivalent because it technically does. It isn’t intended to cause offence in the slightest but I do apologise if it came-off that way to you. It isn’t intentional.

But I was using it in the sense of geographic convenience, not politics (I can’t keep track of everything political but I can only apologise for any offence caused when and if it ensues). And I thought that the issue was when I mistakenly lumped Ireland in with Britain per-se for some reason but like I said I really don’t want to have that discussion again.

My bad, Niamh. I respect you too much to even want to cause offence.

**** my bad I meant to vote pro-choice.:joker:

I misread the bottom choice, I might need to go to Specsavers.

For me personally I'm not an out and out activist for abortion (I personally would prefer more people go down the adoption route) if they don't want to keep the child.

However the choice should always be there for the woman.

And Celtic fans.

I know I shouldn't have said that, but I couldn't miss the opportunity to bash Celtic.

Obviously Celtic fans don't deserve to be aborted, just locked up in Prison instead.:hee:

Just to clarify I don't hate Celtic fans really.

I like to think that I can banter and get along with any Football fan, even a Millwall fan.
