Do you enjoy travelling? Tell us all what your preferred mode of transport is and any good travelling stories you may have? Xx

I once went to Umbria with a baby and a 4-year-old (lots of howling on the plane), we got delayed for 9 hours in Rome as all our baggage was missing. Then had to drive in the dark on wrong side of the road with no sat nav just a map for like 3 hours on country roads and reached or destination in the middle of the night. Our suitcases arrived a week later (2 week break)

Very very stressful

Sounds like the start of a chat up line.

I like having travelled, the West Country and Norfolk are lovely. But I don't love the process :joker:

I have been using "do you like travellers?" and tbh its just not getting much traction on the dating apps:shrug:

Travelled to Africa in an ocean liner, absolute luxury experience, was way too young to appreciate it.
Came back on the exact same boat when I was a teenager and really loved it.
Been through the Kalahari 4 times. 3 to 4 nights and days at a time on the train nonestop, very very hot, hours of nothing and then the excitement of going through the little villages and towns.

Sounds amazing smudgie, can you discretely smoke out the train windows?

I love travelling by train, so much more relaxing than flying

i've only ever been on a couple of road trip type holidays in my life which i thoroughly enjoyed. Every other type of travel is a means to an end for me. I've done an extreme amount of travelling the vast majority of which were deadly dull. I did have a couple of horrific travel experiences along the way, but i prefer to forget about them

Trains are great so long as it's quiet, I took one to London yesterday though and it was so crowded I was squashed in standing up between carriages the whole time which is a bit of a joke when you're charging £60 for an hour and a half journey

Flying is fine but the whole process is a bit of a nightmare getting to the airport and through security. The idea of a road trip is nice but actually cars aren't a very comfortable form of transport for hours on end and it's quite tiring if you're the one driving

Ferries are great and I like being out on the sea, have had a couple of bad experiences with very rough waters though

just get a dingy and sail as there are no checks, you can leave immediately and you get free hotel accommodation thrown in
