View Full Version : How’s your psychological well-being at the moment?

I won’t open the mental health can of worms specifically because once you start getting into the banner of discrete disorders it takes on a nature that this thread isn’t supposed to be broad enough to cover but how would you rank your psychological state of mind at the moment? Do you feel content within yourself (however that would manifest for you) or are you struggling a bit?

I’d be in a better mood if certain circumstances were more aligned in my favour at the moment but compared to a lot of people I can’t complain.

My conclusions from studying these Poll results are Irish people are the happiest followed by the Scots and trailing behind are the English :pipe:

I have less in my pocket, but been through recessions before, so you just go to roll with it, what can we do about it, nada and these things are cyclical

I'm tired about 80% of the time without even doing anything, even small tasks wear me out, I basically have to nap at lunchtime in order to function in the afternoon ... I have a lifelong condition which causes joint and limb pain, but since Covid they've been a lot worse, as has depression.

has that been diagnosed by a doctor?Well they've done a bunch of tests to rule out similarly presenting things, and when they came up with goose egg I was referred to the Long Covid Clinic...

If it isn't Long Covid, god knows what's happening to me :joker:

Ironically I ended up getting a ’flu.-jab (not a Covid-vaccine) before the weekend and I didn’t think it would have much effect but it left me with a banging migraine-like headache that drinking didn’t help with (and I only had a can or two of Red Stripe so I know it wasn’t even a case of being hungover) and zero-energy so I haven’t been with it this weekend. I’ve still got a bit of work to crack on with by tomorrow but it’s only two coffees later that I have the energy to rouse myself to do anything.

Have you ever thought about adding fluvoxamine to your treatment-regime? It’s more of an anti-obsessive-compulsive/social anxiety drug than a pure antidepressant but even as far as depression itself goes it is often quite effective and it has the added benefit of being effective in treating Covid (it’s a powerful anti-inflammatory). I know some people don’t like the way antidepressants make them feel when it comes to side-effects but as far as I know fluvoxamine (Luvox) is pretty clean as far as that goes.

I feel like fluvoxamine (which isn’t the same as fluoxetine, by the way, but I’m sure you could deduce that easy) and sertraline do two slightly different things so I’d use the fluvox. as an addition, buddy. I wouldn’t drop the sertraline just yet.

id listen to a Doctor Oliver

The whole point of me communicating this information to Oliver is so he can present it to a doctor/general practitioner (not that GPs on-average are trained to know too much when it comes to mental health but rather a little about a lot).
