Knowing our luck, we'll get a glazers and Gillett & hicks consortium.

I'd expect a similar level of interest that Chelsea gained with the Even Richer cousin of the Man City Owners very interested in buying the team as he supports them but do we really want owners with questionable human rights or lack of

As long as we compete for honours, I'd have half time beheadings in the centre circle :smug:
ideally, it would be some scouse trillionaire who made his money from painting rainbows and looking after bunny rabbits. Can't have another American consortium/owners though. Too used to taking money out and putting nothing in.

I think the most important someone who is willing and has the money to invest, we can't keep having to sell to buy all the time like selling 5 players and bringing in 1 major player won't set us up for a future

liverpool and Man U both need a serious injection of capital if they are to compete, but there are only 4 CL places with 7 or 8 serious contenders and that just doesnt add up for any potential investor

there are only a few consortiums etc that can come up with that kind of cash. It's not the same game anymore

You've spent more money than anyone else in world football since fergie retired in 2013. Exactly how much of a cash injection do you need? We've been outspent by villa, Brighton, and west ham since Klopp came in.

The Prince of Dubai (who is an avid Liverpool Supporter) is apparently attempting to buy the club after filling in 2009 when our ****ty owners decided to stay.
Not sure what to think of that but I do like the fact he supports the club

This guy is reliable and he's saying that Qatari telecoms is about to buy us. Believed to be trillionaires.

Could just be some info he's heard or he may know more.

My feeling is it will be DIC, they wanted to buy the club for well over a decade and are avid fans

Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has confirmed the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group (FSG), are looking at selling the Reds.
FSG recently said it "would consider new shareholders" amid reports it had put the Merseysiders up for sale.
"We're exploring a sale, but there's no urgency, no time frame for us, and as far as I'm concerned, it's business as usual," Werner told the Boston Globe.
"One outcome could be our continued stewardship for quite a while."
Werner is one of the founders of FSG, whose principal owner is John Henry, and has been the company's chairman since it was formed in 2001.
Basketball star LeBron James has been a part-owner of Liverpool since 2011 and has a 2% stake, which cost him £4.7m.
He has since become a minor partner in FSG, which also owns the Boston Red Sox baseball team.
In March 2021, RedBird Capital Partners, a private investment firm, bought a stake in FSG for about $735m (£533m).
FSG partner Sam Kennedy said: "It is early days in terms of exploring possibilities for possible investment into Liverpool."

They do not think about that
so long as, the club is backed with Money
and all is good.

no, but Adam has been very vocal about such things in the past

At this point I want owners who are fully behind the manager and not forcing him to make a lot of the money back he spend by weakening our squad.
There are no rich British men out there and Americans just don't understand the need of constant improvement plus have Arab owners doesn't necessarily mean they are state owned

I'd rather go back to man u being the most dominant financial team in the league, and us being 2nd/3rd, because at least then you have a chance. But these oil money teams are just on a different level. City don't sell out their ground at times and still rake in more sponsorship money than anyone else because of their honest guv, it's all above board sponsorship deals.
What Klopp has done these last 6 years is perhaps the most historic run in league history. Won every trophy in the game, 3 year run of 97/99 points, and all on a smaller budget than Brighton, but none of that would have happened without Barca injecting 142m into the team for Coutinho. Chelsea have spent more in 6 months than we have in the last 10 transfer windows combined, and they were going into administration before Roman came in, so if you want to compete at the top of the league, this is what you have to have behind you these days, and that's depressing.
I saw this coming a mile off and pointed out in 19 that this was all built on sand. I don't think we'll end up with oil money anyway. I wouldn't put it past FSG to screw us over with more Americans. If there is any chance in the world that LFC can screw this up, they absolutely will. Had the chance to get Dubai in 05/06 - which is the most sanitised version of mid east money possible (tourism), but we backed out and sold to owners who nearly put us into admin.
i'm surprised china isn't a big investor in european football, i would have thought it was right up their street

China got pretty close to buying us from H&G at one point. But yeah, sportswashing is probably something they feel as though they don't need at this point, but it's definitely coming.

John Henry has said he doesn't want to sell but we know Tom Werner does.
To me it seems they are saying they don't want to sell because of the ridiculous value they put on the club

Former Liverpool chairman Sir Martin Broughton
says owners Fenway Sports Group will
make sure they pass the club onto the right person
"when the right time comes to sell".
In November, current chairman
Tom Werner confirmed they were exploring
the possibility of a sale but Sir Martin believes
that it was an opportunity to "test the water".]
