Smurf fans must be strong now: The interpreter of the cult song “The Smurf Song”, Vader Abraham, died at the age of 87. This is reported by the “Bild” newspaper.

The Dutchman, whose real name was Pierre Kartner, became known in 1977 with the song about the blue beings. Most recently, he lived a withdrawn life, neither appearing on stage nor appearing in public. According to his family, he died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 in the Dutch city of Breda. The cause of death is not mentioned.
