The Place in The Sun and Escape to The Sun host has revealed he was told he had 6 months to live in 2020 after being diagnosed with Lung cancer which then spread to his brain, he doesn't know how much longer he will live but has chosen to go public with it now to help raise awareness

That is so so sad…I really like him.
I watched him on Escape to the Country…filmed in May/June and I thought he looked unwell…thin and old. Tragic.

Aww I just googled him ,I recognise him now.
He's only 48 . It's such a cruel horrible disease that spreads so quickly.

He's so young and his family are so young. Devastating
He must be strong to have outlasted his initial diagnosis. My mum got the same diagnosis with lung cancer that had spread to her brain, she was given 6 weeks -6 months but died 4 weeks after initial diagnosis.

Such a very likeable chap with a radiating personality, so sad when i saw this awful news earlier. Just keep fighting Jonnie.

You cant really fight Cancer, its a bit of a tabloid myth
