She is a New MP
Running scared.
Pathetic.

[Dehenna Davison, the Conservative MP
for Bishop Auckland, has announced
she intends to stand down at the
next general election.

The 29-year-old was elected
as the County Durham constituency's
first ever Tory MP in 2019.

Levelling Up minister Ms Davison
is the fourth Tory MP to announce their
departure this week.

Ms Davison said she now wanted to
devote more time to "life outside politics - mainly
to my family".]

Nah.
That seat is well lost to the Cons no matter when the election comes.

She says it's to spend more time with family and away from politics

What on earth did she seek election for in 2019 then just under 3 years ago.
She knows she wouldn't hold the seat.

And regarding Dehenna Davison, i remember her popping up on Talk TV (then Talk Radio) soon after she was elected, where she was being paid to make news reports and go on shows. Apparently Talk Radio were training her for a job in the media. But hang on, she's getting paid £80,000 plus to be an MP.

After the training she then went on to GB News where she fronted shows weekly and at other times. Just like that other MP, Esther McVey who fronts a Saturday morning show. Both spend more time being presenters than the do being MPs, but oh yes they accept the full MP salary. :fist:

What a disgrace. And don't me starte on David Lammy!

Good riddance to the odious creep.

IF when Sunak became leader when Hancock was there with the others cheering him on with his sickening deceitful smile on his face.
Had Sunak brought him back into governnent, rather than totally ignoring him as he thanked most of the others in the front row even thev2 standing either side of Hancock.
Then Hancock wouldn't have even gone into the TV show.

Now he's out and seen as more to be ridiculed by even groupings in the Con Party as well as his constituency.
Then he's got nowhere to go now politically.

To present this move as a kind of selfless act on his part is just more of the serial deceit and lies this creep pedals near all the time.

Definitely for me again.
Good riddance and IF he was really being in the tiniest bit genuine.
He'd resign as an MP NOW and not hang on until the next election.

Odious is the only word for Hancock.

There is a high likelihood of a massive swing to labour at the next election and Raab has a small majority so he would be out on his ass.

It's also worth remembering that the majority of those standing down are career politicians , so when they have reached their maximum trajectory in a particular field, they move on. That's standard behaviour for that type of mp

If at least sixty (the Tories current working majority) openly state they're stepping down, it could lead to something like that.

If they were to all (all being the hypothetically 60+) step down with immediate effect, it would put the parliamentary majority at risk, becoming a de facto general election.

This is a concern.
MPs shouldn't have to face threats to their lives, or of injury.
Parties shouldn't have to be worried about the safety of their constituency offices.

The Country along with the world is going bonkers
But in a sinister way.

It doesn't help that leaders of Parties disrespect each other and throw childish insults back and forth to each other.
When leaders attack other leaders and indeed other Parties MPs.
They are attacking the supporters/voters of those Parties too.

Even I have to admit there's not a great deal of difference of policy between the Parties at present.
The only difference being, if Labour was in power, more sensitivity, understanding, fairness and compassion would be more evident in the policies.

The Prime Minister spends more time talking about Labour at PMQs rather than answering questions as to what his government has done and is doing.
The opposition Parties are NOT there to support the government.
Then this weak Speaker does nothing to change the tone and content of PMQs.
He's terrible really.

So divisive politics gets worse.
Then MPs get threatened and need tight security.

It comes from the top of politics and it's time it was dealt with properly.
With leaders who act like leaders and grown adults rather than playing at presenting a pathetic pantomime week after week.

Theresa May is a surprise.
Then again while her time as PM was difficult, to be generous to her there.

It must be infuriating sitting on the backbenches, listening to and watching the 3 wastes of space that followed her.
Then being part of the shambolic farce of governing which has become the trademark of this Sunak government particularly.

She was a mess as a PM, however I agree she was left a mess by David Cameron and that referedum.

I do have to say she was far better as PM however than the last 3 incumbents put together.

Plus she had Johnson both as a Minister in her government and then on the backbenches backstabbing her at every single opportunity.he could seize to.

Fortunately he got his political comeuppance eventually.

What a pity all these MPs who are going to be gone as MPs in a few months.,don't now just think, to blazes with it, we are going to sit independently now.
Vote according to our conscience and what we feel is right not being bludgeoned into voting for things we don't believe in by the Party whips.

That would make for a better parliament.

Although having said that, then Sunak would more likely call an election and get them gone that few months earlier.

It’s incredibly selfish of them all to deprive us of the joy of seeing them lose their seats in utter humiliation

they have actually all stood down from the last day of parliament. They are no longer mp's. The only mp's that remain in place are the cabinet

She is a New MP
Running scared.
Pathetic.

[Dehenna Davison, the Conservative MP
for Bishop Auckland, has announced
she intends to stand down at the
next general election.

The 29-year-old was elected
as the County Durham constituency's
first ever Tory MP in 2019.

Levelling Up minister Ms Davison
is the fourth Tory MP to announce their
departure this week.

Ms Davison said she now wanted to
devote more time to "life outside politics - mainly
to my family".]
