The Flu is always bad at this time of year.

some years flu is worse than others and if you are elderly and unvaccinated there is a good chance you will end up in hospital. It's entirely preventable if vulnerable people stopped listening to vaccine nonsense and protected themselves from harm

Fair point.
This is the first winter since 2019 we haven't had any Covid measures in place so it does seem that a lot more people are getting ill and probably have reduced immunity from the last couple of years. Almost everyone I know seems to have had a nasty cold in the last month

First time I've been sick since before Covid (I did get Covid but I wasn't sick with it)

I agree, its not like we have never had flu in the country, Covid has made so many people so delicate.

I used to get cold or flu at least three times a year, all my life, until February 2017, the last time I had either cold or flu. I didn't even get Covid.
I am hoping with fingers crossed I don't get this new flu. :( But if it's that widespread, looks like my luck could be running out. :(

And id wager you have had Flu once perhaps twice in your life
And id wager you have had Flu once perhaps twice in your life
if a vulnerable person gets it, there is a good chance it's the last thing they get in their life
