The fact that countries in Asia run their entire industries on coal - still - and that we buy loads and loads of stuff produced by them should really stop us commenting on what Germany is doing. Why are people shocked? The Chinese burn over 13 million metric tons of coal a day. How can people be shocked that Germany are also going to do it. Sounds like double standards to me. Like different things are expected of people in the east and people in the west.
