As per to title

Officers plan to visit thousands of homes this week after identifying customers from a database in a major ongoing criminal investigation. The operation is in conjunction with anti-piracy investigators from FACT in "Operation Raider" - as the Mirror reports.

i will believe it when i see it. If you are going to catch people "in the act", you don't tell them about it first

It's not for the merrrrderin redshiiite, it's for US basketball channels - which would be an even weirder thing to get locked up for

Don't worry, they'll only lock up the people selling the firesticks.

They'll just confiscate yours.

My mates are always telling me to get one, but I've always declined.

I'm an old School dvd man. I have enough channels already and I just mainly watch YouTube, so I've never seen the point in bothering.

I can't watch football these days, it bores me to death, so I don't need one for that either.

It makes you wonder what kinda psychopath is being released early just so we can lock these people up for petty theft.

It was ever thus. Government has a crackdown on drugs, and they would find mountains of cocaine if they raided fleet street and parliament, but they go for the little guys.

I wonder how many cops have one...it wont be much different to the percentage of every other proffesion in the same wage bracket, I would imagine

They never focus on the more serious crimes :bored:.

Because to these business minded people, they disgustingly think theft is more serious than the crimes that we're thinking of, they'll never say it in public because it's socially not acceptable to think like that, but it's the way they really think.

Obviously I don't endorse theft, especially if it escalates to Armed Robbery, but this case is more petty than petty theft imo.

Has anyone in the uk ever been prosecuted for watching a dodgy channel? Surely that's the question that needs asking

my company's ip regularly gets stolen and the police do zero about it, and they never have. We have had the same efforts before on people with cassette recorders and VHS tapes, and again, nothing ever happened

Weirdly though when it comes to theft , doubt you'll see police or many investigations when it's burglary aswell :bored:, that and armed robberies should be top of the list with other serious crimes.

This country is failing so badly, why not focus on tackling physical assault , knife crime etc etc .
